On May 18, YG uploaded a comic-strip type poster to greet Taeyang for his birthday. Other than a warm greeting, the poster also hints Taeyang's comeback as they wrote, "Are You Ready!" along with expression "Grrrrr..." which suggests that he is impatiently waiting for his come back.

SHINee's Taemin will have a cameo on tvN's "Dating Agency: Cyrano". The drama centers on a dating agency that helps people to have a successful lovelife. For the first 5 episodes, several artists will have a cameo including Taemin, Ji Jinhee, Lee Chungah, Choi Wonyoung, Lee Yoonji, and Im Hyungjoon. They will appear together with the main cast Lee Jonghyuk, Lee Chunhee, and SNSD's Sooyoung.


"Dating Agency: Cyrano"'s PD, Kang Heejun stated, "I don't want to spoil so I can't tell you the exact details about the characters, but they will be agency's clients. Each of them will be featured per episode." He also shared that there will be more special cameos on the upcoming episodes.

The drama will premiere on May 27.

Big Bang‘s G-Dragon congratulated fellow member and best friend, Taeyang, on his birthday (May 18) and touched fans with the precious friendship they’ve had since childhood.

G-Dragon congratulated Taeyang on his Instagram, “HAPPYBIRTHDAYMYBESTFRIEND”, and shared the above childhood photo of him and Taeyang showing off their swag while wearing matching yellow old school Majah Flava! shirts.

Big Bang‘s Taeyang celebrated his 26th (25th international age) birthday today on May 18, but rather than make the day about him, he made sure to thank his fans and pay his respects to those affected by the ‘5.18 Gwangju Democratization Movement‘.

Taeyang shared, “Although today is my birthday, it is also a historic day that we can’t forget. The sentiment I feel every year from being born on this meaningful day is always different! Mask Entertainment reported on the 18th that actress Kim Ok Bin ruptured the ligament in her ankle while filming her latest movie.

The agency stated, "Kim Ok Bin, who's filming for the movie 'Minority Opinion', suffered a ruptured ligament in her ankle shooting an action scene."

Kim Ok Bin is said to have suffered through the pain and only left for a closer examination of her injury after filming was finished. The doctor found that surgery was unavoidable.

However, because the wrap-up date for the movie filming and the shoot for KBS 2TV's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Knife and Flower' is rapidly approaching, Kim Ok Bin decided to delay her surgery and treat herself with medicine until after she finishes her scheduled drama filming.

Mask Entertainment added, "We apologize for causing so many people to worry. Kim Ok Bin is shocked over her sudden injury, and she's disappointed that she's in a situation where she must receive surgery. Despite all that, Kim Ok Bin is insistent on not being an [inconvenience to the projects]. Following the doctor's orders that it's not necessary to undergo surgery immediately, she'll be sticking with the filming schedule as long as it's not too hard on her."

Noh Hong Chul, who's currently co-hosting 'Music Core', gave a shout out to Roy Kim's older sister.

On the May 18th broadcast of the music show, Noh Hong Chul congratulated Roy Kim on his win with "Spring Spring Spring" last week, but the comedian seemed to have an ulterior motive for his visit.

He asked the singer, "What did your pretty noona say about it?"

Fans and viewers may remember Roy Kim's older sister from his appearance on Mnet's 'Superstar K4'. She immediately became known for her resemblance to Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.

Roy Kim responded, "My noona said she'd like to grab a meal with you," surprising Noh Hong Chul with the unexpected answer. The singer then added, "Actually, that's a lie."

However, that wasn't enough to stop Noh Hong Chul, who insisted, "Bring your older sister to 'Music Core' sometime. I'm not joking."

SHINee‘s Taemin left A Pink‘s Na Eun a bit flustered with his surprisingly straightforward personality on ‘We Got Married‘.

Taemin and Na Eun, who both graduated from the same middle school, wore their school uniforms and returned to their former alma mater. They also enjoyed a street date in Myeongdong where they bought couple hats, cellphone cases, and socks to celebrate their new marriage.

During the date, Taemin opened up to Na Eun and shared, “During the time we were apart, there were a lot of moments when I thought of you,” also adding, “I looked up my own name on the search engines,” and “How much did you think about me,” leaving Na Eun flustered by his directness.

‘Laws of the Jungle‘ aired the first episode of its Himalaya adventure on the 17th, and just like the Himalayas, the show is on a peak that its competitors can’t seem to reach.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the May 17th broadcast of ‘Laws of the Jungle’ achieved a 15.8% viewer rating, which is a 0.4% increase from its previous viewer rating of 15.4% for the New Zealand special. For the Himalaya special, the fixed members were joined by soccer player Ahn Jung Hwan, actress Oh Ji Eun, actor Kim Hye Sung, and Jung Joon.

Meanwhile, KBS 2TV‘s ‘VJ Special Forces‘ achieved a 7.9% viewer rating, while Fei‘s third win on MBC‘s ‘Dancing With the Stars 3‘ wasn’t enough for the show to get past the 7.0% mark in the ratings department.

It's been rumored that IU experienced an assault by an overzealous fan at actor Seo Ji Suk's wedding, where she was invited to sing.

After news hit the SNS world, fans went wild with worry, tweeting and posting up a storm. According to a shared account of what occurred, a young male who looked to be in his early 20s suddenly grabbed the mic after IU's performance and asked her if she'd like to marry him. Startled, IU ran away and the man grabbed her. When she started screaming, the bodyguards arrived and quickly took care of the situation.

However, IU's agency has come forward to clear up a few details. Loen Entertainment stated, "We've seen the posts on Twitter, and there are a lot of false reports. A random fan did appear, but there was no assault. It wasn't a big deal."

Netizens commented, "IU must've been so scared," "Be strong, IU," "I'm relieved she wasn't hurt," and more.

If you didn’t already know, this week’s ‘Music Bank‘ featured special performances by some of your favorite idols for its 700th episode special. One of those idols was girl group Nine Muses, who put on the classic by Park Ji Yoon, “Adult Ceremony“.

The girls pulled off a great performance, and it turns out the secret behind it all was, of course, practice! So now that ‘Music Bank’ has aired, the girls have revealed a dance practice video for “Adult Ceremony” to show you all how they got ready.

Their new SBS drama may be called ‘Ugly Alert‘, but we all know co-stars Kang So Ra and Lim Joo Hwan are far, far from ugly!

‘Ugly Alert’ unveiled the still cut of Kang So Ra and Lim Joo Hwan, raising curiosity about what sort of romance will take place between the two stars. Kang So Ra, who revealed she worked on building up a more mature image for this drama and improved her posture, looked more compatible than ever with Lim Joo Hwan, who is also known for his perfect proportions.

A representative commented, “Both stars have glowing complexions and lean figures so they’re images in the pictorial are refreshing.”

2PM continued to thank fans for the long wait by treating them to their mini concert, '2PM Is Back with Genie', which many of you may have watched live through YouTube!

3,000 fans crowded around the M-Stage in Gangnam on Friday, the 17th at 9PM KST to watch the return of the ‘beastly idols’. 2PM let fans know that they’re back for good by opening the concert with “I’ll Be Back“, and then pumped up the mood by performing past fan-favorites, “Again And Again“, “Heartbeat“, and more.

Before wrapping things up, they also made sure to perform their double title tracks “Come Back When You Hear This Song” and “All Day I Think of You” (“A.D.T.O.Y.“), and ended the concert with a bang by getting everyone’s hands in the air for their hit song “Hands Up“.

2PM shared, “We had such a great time because more people than we expected came and enjoyed our concert with us, and we thank you once again to all of the fans who stayed with us until late at night. With so many cheering us on, we will work harder and continue with more activities. Thank you.”

A new 7-member girl group will be making their way into the K-pop scene and they go by the name, TURAN!

TURAN consists of Chae Eun, Leekyung, Saebin, Hanbi, Lian, Ryuji, and Elisha, who have been training for the past two years. The group introduced themselves through their album jacket photo, further grabbing the interest of music lovers.

Although it seems like their chances are slim in standing out amongst other idol groups, their agency says that these girls have talent that will carry them through.

Star Pro Entertainment stated, “As it is no longer a mere idol war but a battle of girl groups who win by talent these days, rookie group ‘TURAN’ will also become a girl group that receives love and gains success with their talent.”

TURAN will film their music video on the 20th and make their debut next month!

 

Actor Joo Won recently made a trip to the emergency room after injuring his nose while filming ‘1Night 2 Days‘.

His agency revealed on the 18th, “During the filming for ’1N2D’, Joo Won was in the middle of a game with the football team at Korea Maritime University and his nose collided with a player’s head, and he ended up injuring the ridge of his nose, causing swelling.”

Reportedly, Joo Won fell onto the floor and was unable to get up for some time, leading the staff to pause filming. Joo Won was rushed to the emergency room where he received treatment, and the actor showed his dedication to his work by insisting that he comes back to finish the filming afterwards.

Hopefully the injury is minor and Joo Won will recover quickly!

 

SHINee will be meeting up with their ’6th member’ or MC Jun Hyun Moo for the upcoming episode of JTBC‘s ‘Hidden Singer‘.

A representative stated that veteran singer Lee Moon Sae, who is the guest for this episode, had a special place in his heart for SHINee, revealing the reason why they were brought on for this special.

The rep also commented,“Lee Moon Sae showed his affection for SHINee and even invited them to his concert. In addition, during this filming, Park Hye Mi, Yurisangja, Lee Sae Joon, Park Kyung Lim, Michelle Lee, and more featured as guests and performed covers of Lee Moon Sae’s hit songs. But Lee Moon Sae was especially pleased as he listened, with his eyes closed, to Onew who sang ‘Forever With You‘.”

Onew also flustered the veteran singer as he jokingly remarked, “Lee Moon Sae sunbaenim made his debut before we were even born,” while in the midst of expressing his admiration for him.

SHINee also joined MC Jun Hyun Moo to perform their trademark “Lucifer” dance that always brings about a lot of laughs when Jun Hyun Moo attempts his interpretation.

Actor Seo Ji Suk will tie the knot later today and shared his excitement before he says, “I do”, with an additional photo from his beautiful pre-wedding pictorial!

Seo Ji Suk and his fiancee had all the singles out there quite envious of the two’s obvious affection for one another, made apparent through their gaze. Seo Ji Suk's fiancee is five years younger than the actor and works as a florist. The two met last year through mutual friends.

On the Teacher’s Day special of SBS‘ ‘One Night of TV Entertainment‘, the school days of some of your favorite celebrities were revealed and Kang Dong Won’s past especially surprised viewers.

Kang Dong’s Won’s report card from middle school was unveiled and shows the actor receiving high grades of mostly ‘excellent’ mixed in with some ‘great’ (mostly ‘A’s and some ‘B’s), as well as receiving comments about being an exemplary student. Last week on ‘We Got Married‘, the actress prepared a surprise birthday party for her onscreen husband and invited his idol best friends from the ’91 idol line, SHINee‘s Key, KARA‘s Nicole, and MBLAQ‘s Mir. But Jinwoon didn’t look too happy upon walking into the party, leaving everyone wondering what put him in a sour mood.

It was later revealed that Jinwoon received a text from Go Jun Hee the day before which read, “Let’s not contact each other personally.” So having received such a text, throughout the celebration, Jinwoon seemed more worried than happy. Soccer player Ki Sung Yong opened up about his quick engagement with actress Han Hye Jin, coming only 4 months after they started dating, and also denied the rumors of a shotgun wedding.

Honestly, I started thinking about marriage when I first met Han Hye Jin. That is why I was even more careful, and because all of the tough circumstances we faced, Han Hye Jin also pondered a lot about this.

Whatever the case, we are people who receive interest from the public, and due to our environment and occupation, it was honestly even more difficult to overcome everything. I should have been even more caring and protected Hye Jin more, as she is an actress.

There was no other reason for writing our initials on my soccer cleats before the dating rumors broke out other than that I love her so much and I wanted to keep that feeling when I play soccer. So without thinking, I expressed it on my soccer shoes, which are very important to me. That also received attention and became an issue.
