Boy group Block B who just returned with a new album remarked that they were “nervous and excited.”

At a showcase that took place for their second mini-album WELCOME TO THE BLOCK in Seoul on February 1st, the boys remarked, “We are making a comeback after a long six months. There are six songs total on the album, and we personally produced five of them.”

Our title song Nanrina incorporates a synthesized blunt rhythm with groovy rap and vocals. The song is for everyone of all ages who enjoy hip hop,” they added.

They also explained the concept behind their title song. “The title “Nanrina” (to cause commotion or pandemonium in Korean) was decided to represent how much commotion we would cause in the music industry once we make our comeback. We are so excited to stand on stage after being away for so long. We ask for your continued cheer and support.”

The boys proved to the world what a performance should look like with their fierce and powerful moves for their title song “Nanrina”. They have already captivated the masses with their impressive synchronized moves and their newly upgraded masculine image.

‘Running Man’ PD predicts some changes with ‘Monday Couple’ due to Song Ji Hyo’s new relationship

The staff members of SBS Running Man‘ expressed that there may be some changes with the ‘Monday Couple’ on the program now that Song Ji Hyo‘s relationship was revealed to the public.

‘Running Man’ PD Cho Hyo Jin informed Star News on February 1st, “I was just informed of Song Ji Hyo’s relationship over the phone. The last recording of ‘Running Man’ took place on the 30th. The cast members themselves are close, so they might have known about her relationship, but us staff members had no idea.”

In regards to the relationship between Gary and Song Ji Hyo changing on the program, PD Cho remarked, “‘Monday Couple’ was never scripted, it just sort of naturally happened as the show went on, and therefore we staff members have no plans to change the direction nor dynamic of their relationship.”

However, we do feel that with Song Ji Hyo’s relationship going public, the ‘Monday Couple’ relationship will also naturally begin to change on the show,” PD Cho added.

It was recently revealed that actress Song Ji Hyo is currently in a relationship with Baek Chang Joo, the CEO of her agency, CJeS Entertainment. Also under his umbrella are 3-member boy group JYJ and Park Yoochun‘s younger brother, actor Park Yoo Hwan.

Song Ji Hyo is currently a cast member on SBS’ hit variety program ‘Running Man’, and she has displayed her acting prowess in projects and dramas such as ‘Gye Baek‘.

Block B releases 2nd mini album ‘Welcome to the Block’

After unleashing their MV for “Nanrina” earlier today, Block B is back with their 2nd mini album ‘Welcome to the Block‘!

The mini album contains six tracks in all and five of the tracks were produced by Block B themselves. After a quick listen, the track titled “LOL” seems quite fun.

SPICA reveals MV teaser for “Russian Roulette”

New girl group SPICA have just revealed the MV teaser for their new song, “Russian Roulette“.

The girls released a prologue single back in January called “Potentlyand blew everyone away with the power and color in their voice.

SPICA will be making their official debut on February 8th with their first mini-album, ‘Russian Roulette‘. If this MV teaser is any indication of what they’ll be bringing to the table, it looks like they won’t be holding anything back.

Girls’ Generation performs “The Boys” on ‘Live! With Kelly’

After wrapping up a successful stage on CBS‘s ‘The Late Show with David Letterman‘ last night, Girls’ Generation has moved on to storm hearts through ABC‘s ’Live! With Kelly‘.

On the morning of February 1st, the members performed “The Boys” on ‘Live! With Kelly’. Afterwards, the hosts gushed, “That was amazing! Amazing!” and “I’ve never seen such audience participation in my life!“, referring to the fanchants from the crowd.

MCs Kelly Ripa and Howie Mandel also complimented Girls’ Generation on their dance skills, which inspired the girls to teach them a move from their choreography. Hilariously, the members decided to dub the dance, ”The Ripa”, in Kelly’s honor.

The seven-member hip hop group are bringing their swagger to the forefront by transforming into stylish troublemakers, who scuffle on rooftops and cause a lively ruckus.

2NE1′s Park Bom charms with her consideration for fans

2NE1‘s Park Bom is in the spotlight for her tremendous love for her fans.

An online Korean community board shared a set of photos under the title, “Park Bom posing so fans could easily take her pictures“. The photos were taken from a previous concert, but netizens were charmed all the same by how considerate the idol was, allowing fans in the audience to take good shots while she was on stage.

This isn’t the first time that Park Bom made headlines for showing her love and respect for her fans. Not too long ago, she scolded her manager for pushing a fan. She later discovered that it was an accident, but the manager apologized to the fan all the same.

Park Bom also received positive reviews for giving the contestants on SBS‘s ‘K-Pop Star‘ honest and sincere critiques.

Ivy reveals she’s vacationing in Japan

For the first time in a long, long while, singer Ivy has shared an update with fans on her current whereabouts.

On January 29th, Ivy posted pictures from her vacation in Japan to her social networking account. Her “Tokyo Story”, as she calls it, reads:

Putting away what I bought while shopping, changing clothes, and going back out for Roppongi Tsutaya! A photo [of me] doing my trademark ‘cover-the-birthmark-on-my-forearm’ pose!

Fans smiled at Ivy’s playful photos, especially when she poses by the window in an elegant dress. They left compliments and comments on her post, such as, “Even if you take pictures carelessly, they still look like they came from a pictorial“ and “When will you begin your activities again?

Ivy will be making her comeback sometime this year, and she’s been given a strict diet to get back into shape.

U-KISS’s Soohyun sends kisses to his fans

U-KISS‘s leader Soohyun delighted fans with an aegyo-filled update on Twitter.

On February 1st, Soohyun tweeted, “I want to sleep now. Don’t be disappointed if you didn’t receive a mention. Here’s a picture instead! Goodnight KISSME, my loves.”

The idol was tweeting up a storm with his fans, but unfortunately, he couldn’t reply back everyone who messaged him. He decided to take this cute photo as a consolatory gift for those who were waiting for his reply. In his selca, Soohyun blew a goodnight kiss to his fans just before he tucked in for the night.

Netizens commented, “Look at those lips! I’m in love~” and “My heart’s beating too fast, I can’t even sleep”.

F.T. Island scores high on music charts with new mini-album, ‘Grown-Up’

F.T. Island has returned with a bang, hitting #1 in album sales as soon as they released their album.

On January 31st KST, F.T. Island released their fourth mini-album, ‘Grown Up‘, on and off-line simultaneously. After the album was released, it reached #1 on off-line album sales (Hanteo Charts). Meanwhile, their title track “Severely soared on online music charts and has been receiving great feedback.

F.T. Island’s management, FNC Entertainment, stated, “The members of F.T. Island are ecstatic after hearing the good news about their new album…They are practicing hard at the moment to give a perfect comeback performance”.

F.T. Island will hold their first comeback performance on February 2nd through ‘M! Countdown’.

CNBLUE becomes the first Korean artist to play on ‘MTV Japan Unplugged’

Korean rock band CNBLUE recently made an appearance on MTV Japan‘s Unplugged, taking the title as the first ever Korean artist to appear on the show.

MTV Unplugged is a music program that features intimate, acoustic sets from world-class artists like Eric Clapton, Oasis and Mariah Carey. Japan's own version of the program began its broadcast last July.

The boys played a 12-song set that included some of their Japanese hits like "Let's Go Crazy", "Try Again, Smile Again" and "Kimio". In addition, the band also debuted the acoustic rendition for their Japanese major-label debut single, "In My Head", as well as their newest number, "Where You Are".

Aside from the boys' flawless performance, CNBLUE made headlines with the number of ticket requests made for the show. Reportedly, they drew a whopping 15,000 applications from fans wishing to attend the show (MTV Unplugged Japan only accepts 150 attendees).

After the show, the members expressed their gratitude to the attendees, stating that they were "very surprised to hear how many people requested tickets for our show" and that they "worked very hard to put on their best performance for the fans."

CNBLUE made their major label debut in October with the song "In My Head", which sold an impressive number of 100,000 copies.

Blady to return as a 5-member group

Girl group Blady is gearing up for their return with a new member!

On February 1st, SY6 Entertainment revealed, “Blady, who made their debut with ‘Crazy Day‘ and was recognized as one of K-Pop’s Top 10 on YouTube by people all over the world, will be recruiting a new member. They will be re-forming as a 5-member group.”

The group debuted with original members Darae, Kangyoon, Bunhong (‘Pink’), and Sunyoung. They previously revealed their plans to add a new member with each new album to eventually form a seven-member group. With the incorporation of new member Nahyun, two more spots have yet to be filled.

Nahyun is reported to be a 21 year old who studied to be a stewardess and has been in the spotlight as an ‘ulzzhang‘. She’s been training for two years, and is said to be proficient in many talents, one of which includes possessing quick wit for variety shows.

Nahyun will be introduced to the public through advertisements for health drink, ‘Linteus 96.7′.

Girls’ Generation’s Sunny becomes the MC for ‘Music Island’

Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny has been selected as the MC for SBS MTV‘s ‘Music Island’!

SBS MTV revealed on February 1st through their homepage that Sunny would be the host for its new show.

‘Music Island’ will be the first music program to carry out its broadcast on Jeju Island, and will feature performances from a variety of artists every week.

Sunny will be filming the 1st and 2nd episode at the Jeju Convention Center on February 14th. The first episode will broadcast on February 24th.

Se7en reveals making-of video for “When I Can’t Sing” MV

Singer Se7en made his comeback today with the release of his self-titled mini-album, ‘Se7en‘. It seems like he’s following the rule of threes, as he’s followed up by releasing the MV for “When I Can’t Sing” as well as its making-of video from the set.

In this making-of film, Se7en gives an in-depth tour of his filming process. Fans get to see cameos from Big Bang‘s G-Dragon as well as J.Y. Park. Adorably, Se7en is seen interacting with his fans, who brave the cold to cheer on their idol.

JYJ‘s ‘flower boy charm’ has fully blossomed in this fresh pictorial for clothing brand ‘NII‘.

On February 1st, ‘NII’ revealed several cuts from their 2012 S/S collection featuring endorsement models Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu.

Cube Entertainment’s new boy group completes a successful fictional debut

Cube Entertainment‘s new 7-member boy group has adopted an unprecedented strategy by making their first public appearance on a sitcom.

Part of the group is currently starring in JTBC‘s sitcom ‘I live in Cheongdamdong’ as trainees dreaming to become the next big idol group.

They’ve been going by the name ‘Invincible Cheongdam’ for the sitcom, and wowed viewers with their acrobatics, vocals, and acting abilities.

It comes as no surprise that they’ve already become the most popular term on Korean search portals, especially after their performance of “I Stole Those Lips”, the actual title track from their upcoming debut album.
