Check out Dongho’s new teasers for ‘Holyland’

Last year, we reported that U-KISS‘s Dongho was cast for a made-for-TV movie called ‘Holyland‘.

Earlier in the month, a teaser was revealed featuring Dongho and earlier today two new teasers of Dongho were revealed. The two teasers features Dongho’s fighting prowess and he portrays an image that is 180 degrees from his adorable persona.

‘Holyland’ is about a high school student who doesn’t fit in at school or at home. After spending endless nights rebelling against society in the streets, he picks up boxing and begins to learn his worth, picking up love and friendship along the way.

The movie is scheduled to release next month, but until then, check out the two teasers below!

Han Ga In spotted at Big Bang’s ’2012 Big Show’ again + “Fantastic Baby” on ‘YG on Air’

A new fantaken photo of actress Han Ga In enjoying herself at Big Bang‘s ‘2012 Big Show‘ concert held earlier this month has surfaced online!

As previously reported, the concert was held at the Seoul Olympic Gymnasium from March 2nd through the 4th. The photo shows just enough for fans to have guessed that she was in the standing seats, naturally enjoying the environment with the other fans. Although the picture is of poor quality, it’s easy to see her shining looks.

Lucky fans that got to see both her and Big Bang!

Netizens commented, “It must’ve been tiring to watch it while standing,” “I’d be amazed to see her standing next to me,” “Look at the line of her nose!” and “She really must be an avid fan of G-Dragon.”

Sandara Park interviews fellow 2NE1 members for “Dara TV” preview

Taking on the tone of a TV News reporter, 2NE1‘s Sandara Park shared a preview of “Dara TV“.

On March 23rd, she shared a video on her me2day and wrote,

“Another preview for Dara TV~! I tried hard to score some interviews with the members! keke Bom & Minky (Minzy) success!!! ^.^ But rascal CL kept running away saying, “I don’t wanna~ keke I don’t wanna!” and didn’t let me T.T Must have been camera shy kekeke next time I will be sure to succeed! +.+ Fighting! Keke

In the video, she interviewed fellow members Park Bom and Minzy, asking their thoughts about “Dara TV”. Unfortunately, CL wasn’t included in the video.

EXO to hold showcases in Korea & China, announces April debut

SM Entertainment's fresh new faces EXO will hold showcases in both Korea and China. Fans are quite anxious in anticipation as the group has released many teasers but have yet to debut. The agency officially announced the event via their official website and through SNS portals.

The event, set for March 31st in Korea and April 1st for China, will also commemorate the 100-day anniversary since their first video teaser on December 23rd, 2011. Not only will this showcase be EXO's first live stage, it will also be the first step in their foray for their long-awaited debut. It was officially announced that they will be releasing their debut album in April.

Meanwhile, the two showcase events will be held on March 31st at Seoul Olympic Stadium and on April 1st at Beijing's iconic National Centre for the Performing Arts. All 12 members of EXO-K and EXO-M will be present at each showcase.

B2ST successfully wraps up their first arena performance in Yokohama, Japan

Idol group B2ST successfully completed their very first arena performance in Japan.

On March 21st and 22nd, B2ST held their ‘Beautiful Show in Yokohama‘ at the Yokohama arena to kick off a series of performances to take place in 3 different Japanese cities.

B2ST perfectly harmonized with a live band, performing their hit songs such as “Shock“, “Fiction“, “Beautiful“, and more for 2 hours straight.

Member Son Dongwoon even prepared a special performance of Hirai Ken‘s “Hitomio Tozite“, which touched the hearts of their Japanese fans.

The audience members enjoyed the performance on their feet the entire show, and waved glowsticks among other things colored grey, which happens to be B2ST’s official color.

A die-hard fan who follows B2ST to every country they perform in was also present, proving the group’s ever-growing fame all over the world.

Before the boys crossed over to Japan, the members completed shows in Singapore and Indonesia, and will head to Kobe and Nagoya next.

An estimated 23,000 fans attended the two day show in Yokohama.

Kang Ho Dong to help build a school in South Sudan

Entertainer Kang Ho Dong has stepped up to help the children of South Sudan.

Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation‘ stated on March 22nd that Kang Ho Dong approached them earlier this year, with the desire to help with the building of the school, provide all the equipment and supplies they need, and also donate bicycles and other vehicles for their transportation purposes.  Kang Ho Dong has already been working with this organization and their program called, ‘Supporting Ssireum’ since 2005 and has personally been supporting a young man who dreams of becoming ‘Chunha Jangsa’ (strong man).

A staff member at the organization said, “He wanted to help domestically but as we started our efforts in South Sudan, so we got him more interested in doing work internationally.  Currently there is no concrete name, method, or scale for the project.”

Kang Ho Dong had retired from the entertainment industry last September because of a tax evasion scandal.  There was another scandal regarding property he bought in Pyeongchang, but he donated all of it to the Asan Hospital Social Welfare Center.

It is good to see Kang Ho Dong keep his head up and continue working and helping others even if it is outside the entertainment industry.

After School‘s former member, Yoo So Young shared a selca with After School’s current member Kahi.

Earlier today, Yoo So Young tweeted, “With our member Kahi unnie! I was happy to be filming with unnie! You know I really really like you right? I love you~“, along with the above picture.

The picture showed the two smiling brightly and making v-signs for the camera. They showed off their on-going friendship through this picture.

Fans commented, “It’s good to see you girls so friendly~“,”You two are really goddesses… So pretty!“, and “I enjoyed watching the drama~

Yoo So Young dropped out of After School in 2009 and became an actress. There was a lot of interest when Kahi and So Young were cast for KBS‘s drama ‘Dream High 2.’

2AM wins ‘Music Bank’ K-Chart + Performances from March 23rd!

KBS's 'Music Bank' is back with another fun and exciting show that was chock-full of amazing performances!

The MCs for tonight's episode were After School's UEE and actor Lee Jang Woo.

Aside from the usual stages on tonight's episode,  the boys of popular boy band SHINee took the stage to perform their newest release titled "Sherlock", along with "Stranger".

Cube Entertainment's newest boy group BtoB made their debut today with two title tracks, titled "Insane" and "Imagine".

Lastly, MBLAQ unfortunately bid farewell with a sweet performance of their ever so catchy hit "Run".

As for the winners, 2AM faced off against Big Bang for this week's 'K-Chart', but in the end, it was 2AM who clinched the 'K-Chart' win with "I Wonder If You Hurt Like Me".

Congratulations to 2AM and all I.AMs!

The boys of SHINee return with “Sherlock” on ‘Music Bank’!

Calling all Shawols, the five talented boys of popular group SHINee have finally returned with their latest album release titled 'Sherlock'!

SHINee's new mini album has gained a lot of interest due to the high quality of all seven songs. SM Entertainment stated that SHINee's comeback is 'world-class' and that, "they are proud to present the best quality in music, style, and performance."

Having topped various charts just hours after the album release, the boys are now back to take the stage for a charismatic performance of "Stranger" and "Sherlock"!

J.Y. Park promised to make miss A’s Min into ‘Beyonce’

miss A‘s Min shared a story about her dreams of becoming like Beyonce.

On today’s episode of  Mnet‘s “Beatles Code 2“, Min surprised everyone when she told them that she was a trainee for 8 years.

When the MC asked, “How old were you when you started training?“, Min answered, “Since 5th grade. J.Y. Park teacher told me he will make me like Beyonce, so I came to Korea from America.

Upon hearing this, MC Shindong poked fun that J. Y. Park promised to make a 5th grader into Beyonce.

TEEN TOP draws attention at ’2012 Canadian Music Festival’ with slick performance

On March 21st, the ‘2012 Canadian Music Festival‘ was held in Toronto and marked the 30th anniversary of the event.

On the same day, the ‘2k12 Korea Night‘ concert was also scheduled to kick off; the biggest K-pop concert ever to be held in Canada yet!  K-Pop artists who performed on stage included TEEN TOP, Brian Joo, G.NA, and A Pink.  A total of seven artists attended the night and serenaded fans with ‘kick ass’ performances.

A representative of CMF was pleasantly surprised by the enormous attention drawn in by the concert and remarked, “K-Pop was the hottest event at the concert.  Even fans who weren’t able to purchase tickets formed long lines in front of the concert; it was by far the most successful concert we’ve seen.”

The representative went on to praise Teen Top’s amazing performance.  ”There’s a lot of people who have become fans after watching K-Pop related videos on Youtube.  However, after watching a glimpse of Teen Top’s performance, there have been a lot of North American fans interested in the boys as well.”

Teen Top’s label, T.O.P Media shared their thoughts on Teen Top’s growing popularity in North America.  ”To welcome Teen Top’s first appearance in Canada, fans came to the airport.  It attracted a lot of people and attention.”

Viewers surprised by Lee Min Jung’s “naked optical illusion”

On the March 18th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Section TV Entertainment News‘, the production crew met with actress Lee Min Jung during her commercial shoot and had the opportunity to hold a brief interview.

Lee Min Jung flaunted her slim figure by wearing a slim, tube top dress during the recording however, viewers were taken aback after seeing her playing the guitar. As the actress decided to show off her hidden guitar skills while singing, viewers were given the illusion of Lee Min Jung naked as soon as she held the instrument.

Netizens commented, “That surprised me“, “Lee Min Jung is so skinny“, and “The broadcast immediately turned into an ‘adult only’ program.

BtoB makes an “Insane” debut with “Imagine” on ‘Music Bank’!

Cube Entertainment's newest face, BtoB, just released their debut title tracks!

As previously announced, the group will be promoting double title tracks: "Insane" (a dance track), and "Imagine" (a ballad).

The rookie group left fans speechless with their recent release of the two tracks. The boys continued to impress on today's episode of 'Music Bank,' where they performed both "Insane" and "Imagine".

SISTAR‘s Hyorin and Bora flaunted their perfect jean figures.

SISTAR became the main models for CLRIDE.n’s spring denim line titled, ‘SISTAR Jean.’

The members were already recognized for their flawless legs on stage, but these jeans accentuate their slender, long legs.



Fans were awed by the pictures and commented, “How many cm are their legs?” and “Their jean fit is daebak“.

In related news,  Hyorin just finished starring in the drama ‘Dream High 2′ and SISTAR is preparing for their new album.

2AM’s Changmin shows his passion for music

On the March 22nd broadcast of KBS2′sStar Life Theater2AM’s new album track list was unveiled.  Member Changmin said, “There are six tracks on the album but one is my song and seeing my name next to the ‘musics and lyrics by’ section really made me feel proud.  I felt that I did my part for 2AM.  This is why I became a singer.”

This was the first time that Changmin had one of his songs released on a 2AM album.  There was a track on the previous album where he helped, but this new song has more meaning because it was the first time he wrote a song solo.

Changmin confessed, “I may not be as good looking as my fellow members, but I feel that I do my best to make people say, ‘No one can sing this part like Changmin.‘”

Lee Hyun, who did a duet with Changmin, complimented him saying, “Changmin’s voice fits for upbeat songs as well as ballads.”

Davichi’s Kang Minkyung lost a significant amount of weight since debut

Davichi‘s Kang Minkyung proved that she succeeded in losing weight through rigorous dieting.

On the March 21st episode of SBSOne Night of TV Entertainment‘, Kang Minkyung shared her personal know-hows in creating the perfect ‘S-line’ figure.

The singer who is now known for her flawless beauty and fit physique, had a lot more meat on her bones when she first debuted.

In high school, I really liked bread and pastries,” she explained. “It was the result of a carbohydrate diet. I was so shocked when I watched our first performance.”

Kang Minkyung explained that she succeeded in losing weight by eating Korean sweet potatoes and ‘black foods’.

Brown Eyed Girls’ ‘Abracadabra’ heard in French movie

It seems that the K-pop movement is constantly spreading throughout Europe as it has made an appearance in a French movie last year, but has belatedly been receiving attention in Korea.

Girl group Brown Eyed Girls‘ hit song “Abracadabra” appeared in a 2011 French movie titled ‘Les Tuche‘. The scene began as the two female lead characters, who are siblings, enter a club while “Abracadabra” is heard playing in the background. One of the main female character is then seen handing a CD to the DJ, demanding the song to be played.

A representative of the girls’ agency, Nega Network, stated, “An official request was sent in to use the song as a background music for the movie so we gave them approval. When the members heard about the news, they were rather intrigued.”

Netizens commented, “Wow, that’s cool“, “I’m proud that K-pop is spreading more and more everyday“, and “This is awesome. Daebak!

ZE:A’s Siwan is a “bad boy” for Ceci Magazine

ZE:A‘s Siwan has turned into a “bad boy” for the April edition of CeCi magazine.

Setting aside his usual smart and chic image, Siwan adopted a cool and edgy look for this “bad boy” themed photoshoot. Throughout the shoot Siwan displayed a variety of expressions as well as showcasing his versatility by effortlessly pulling off the different looks, and received praise from the staff members.

In related news, Siwan has also been receiving praise for his acting skills in the drama ‘The Equator Man’ which aired its first episode on March 21st.

Suzy to make a cameo appearance on KBS2 ‘I Need a Fairy’

Miss A‘s Suzy will be making a cameo appearance on KBS2‘s sitcom, “I Need a Fairy” and recently wrapped up shooting her scene on March 19th.

Suzy’s character is an impudent girl who has high hopes to become an actress.  There are many scenes where Suzy comes into conflict with Cha Se Joo (played by actor Cha In Pyo) and his son, Cha Guk Min.

An official from the drama provided additional information about the upcoming episode.  ”Suzy will fall for Park Min Woo who also dreams of becoming an actor.  However, after watching Suzy, Park Min Woo will realize how foolish he was.”

Furthermore, it was revealed that Suzy was a little awkward around the cast as she knew no one, but adapted to the new environment quickly.  She had a bright smile and viewers can expect to see Suzy’s fresh and youthful charm on the show.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Suzy was offered a leading role in a future drama called “Big” which has been script-written by the Hong Sisters, who are famous for their past projects like MBC‘s “The Greatest Love“.

The episode is scheduled to air on April 3rd.
