"John Park shows his manners to Park Jin Hee on ‘Music and Lyrics’" plus 19 more

On May 5th’s airing of MBC’s ‘Music and Lyrics‘, the actress Park Jin Hee and John Park prepared for their mini concert together, and it seems like the duo’s interactions have been warming up considerably.

On this episode, the two got into a car to ride to the workshop together. John Park politely opened the door for Park Jin Hee to which she responded saying, “Do you usually hold doors open for girls before they get into a car?” John Park then made Park Jin Hee’s heart flutter by saying, “Nope. Only for you nuna.”

Park Jin Hee then confessed, “I like it when men open car doors for me.” To this John Park shyly replied, “I’m not usually the type to do this..." She then cutely demanded, “Can’t you just say that you’re the kind of man that does this?" In the end, John Park responded, “I’ll try my best.”

In the interview held after this, John Park remarked, “[Park Jin Hee] has a cute dongseng-like side to her.”

KARA‘s Seungyeon and Jiyoung recently took a few silly selca photos while adorning 4D glasses in a movie theater.

On May 5th, Seungyeon uploaded selcas through her Twitter, tweeting, “Wow, 4D is totally a new world! Kkyak, I’m so happy. What should I do? Kkyak Kkyak I hope it comes out in my dreams! Wow Wow Awesome!”

Netizens stated, “You are having so much fun with your 4D glasses”, “Your beauty cannot even be hidden by 4D glasses”, and “I think the glasses are too big for Han Seungyeon.”

Jiyeon also replied to the tweet, stating, “This is really awesome. Huk is awesome. Unnie, see you in your dreams.”

Kara member Kang Jiyoung, affectionately known by her fans as ‘giant baby’, recently gained attention for her hilarious banter regarding her weight.

On the May 5th broadcast of KBS2TV‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, the members gathered to play a game to see who was the quickest at eating crackers that were strung up on a pole. The catch was that each member who lost would be subject to standing on a weight scale.

Before the game began, comedian Boom brought up the topic of Kang Jiyoung’s weight by teasing, “We researched the G6 members’ weight on portal sites but we noticed that Kang Jiyoung’s weight didn’t show up!”

To this, Kang Jiyoung replied, “I weighted 101 lbs when I was skinniest. It’s not like that now.” When MC Kim Shin Young continued the investigation about her current weight by asking, “Are you over 110 lbs?” Jiyoung jokingly fired up and said, “Why would you ask me something like that?“, causing the set to burst into laughter.

Unfortunately, the day was far from over as Kang Jiyoung ultimately lost the game and had to dance on the weight scale as punishment. When Boom observed, “It looks like your weight won’t fall in the 90-110lbs range“, Jiyoung tried her best to side step the teases and ultimately ran away after unplugging the chord from the scale.

As all the members kept trying to get her back on the scale, Jiyoung finally gave in and jumped on the scale with all her might. The scale ultimately indicated a weight over 175lbs, drawing the hilarious incident to an end with a great laugh.

Aoi Sora, who is a well known figure in the Japanese adult video industry, will be debuting her singing and acting in Korea.

In order to debut as a K-Pop singer, Aoi Sora recently came to South Korea.  It’s been reported that she will be recording a music video at a night club in Ilsan, Kyung Ki Do on May 7th.  According to a representative, “Aoi is currently preparing for singing activities in Korea.  To officially prepare for her debut, she recently visited Korea.”

In addition, the music video will be featuring a famous dance team in Korea called ‘Love Cubic‘.  ’Love Cubic’ is a famous 5-girl member group that currently has a fan base of around 50,000.

Furthermore, on May 4th, Aoi Sora tweeted, “I dyed my hair after 4 years for this project.  I am actually in Korea right now“, surprising many of her fans.

Aside from her planned activities in singing, Aoi Sora also has been cast in a future Korean movie called ‘Vacance‘.  It appears Aoi Sora will be debuting, both as an actress and singer in the near future.

Kara‘s Nicole had some time off on South Korea’s holiday, Children’s Day, which was on May 5th.  She went for a walk with her adorable dogs and took a snap shot to share with her Twitter followers.

On May 5th, the idol uploaded the following photo and tweeted, “I came outside with my children too!!!”

Taking full advantage of her rare vacation time, the idol appears to be enjoying a beautiful day with her two puppies. Sporting a very casual outfit, the trio looks like a loving family.

The anticipation and interest in Girls' Generation's first-ever sub-unit Taetiseo has been explosive to say the least, so it's no surprise that fans will be pouring over the trio's long-awaited live performances, beginning with their debut on today's episode of 'Inkigayo'!

Tiffany, Seohyun, and Taeyeon took the stage today to perform their catchy title track "Twinkle", along with yet another song from their mini-album titled "Baby Steps".

CNBLUE‘s official Twitter recently uploaded a handsome selca of Lee Jung Shin, that got many of his fans ogling over his charming face.

On May 5th, CNBLUE tweeted, “We said we would prepare a lot, but not sure if you guys enjoyed it.  We thank our BOICE[CNBLUE's official fan club name] so much.  Also, we thank our staff who prepared so much and worked hard.  Let’s do more fan meetings from now on“.

For those who didn’t know already, CNBLUE personally held a fan meeting on May 5th.  The boys personally brought up this idea in celebration of Children’s Day, which is on May 5th in South Korea.  CNBLUE partnered up with their fans to donate and support ‘CNBLUE School‘, a charity project school in Burkina Faso.

Back in February, a netizen created a ranking of girl groups and posted it on a community board, attracting much hot attention from fans. With many girl groups making comebacks recently in the past three months, netizens were at it again by creating an updated ranking of girl groups. With some girl groups achieving a hit with their recent comeback, they were able to move up in ranking, while others fell back due to unsuccessful comebacks. Girls’ Generation and 2NE1 still retained their positions as the queens of K-Pop by remaining at the ”insurmountable 4D wall (on another level)”. T-ara, KARA, and Wonder Girls remained at the level for popularity in ‘Japan and Korea’. However, f(x) dropped to the lower level of only being popular domestically, joining  Brown Eyed Girls and miss A. The netizen had noted that the members’ individual activities accomplished little for f(x), most likely affecting teamwork and possibly decreasing their ranking. SISTAR rose to join the domestically popular groups with their successful comeback of “Alone” as they had dominated the music charts and placed first place on music shows in only two weeks. 4minute, who made a comeback at the same time as SISTAR dropped from its ranking in the “High Class” level. Due to their untimely comeback, 4minute was hurt in popularity, leaving only Secret and After School at the “High Class” level. While A Pink, Girls’ Day, and Dal Shabet retained its rising popularity rank, Rainbow dropped to the lowest ranking as their domestic activities did not achieve much success, leaving their domestic popularity worrisome. Girls‘ Generation‘s TaeTiSeo revealed that they became fonder in their relationships with the other members.

Recently, TaeTiSeo stated through an interview, “Because we have many individual activities, it is difficult to see each others’ faces. We always communicate through smartphone chatting, which is a huge encouragement.”

Taeyeon added, “I’m embarrassed to say this, but these days, us members say that we miss each other a lot. Since middle school-high school, we haven’t taken many pictures together, but now when we meet, we always take pictures together. As TaeTiSeo, the three of us try to perform with confidence and diligence, but compared to when all 9 members are on stage, I think the energy is definitely different. Also, because we only have 3 members, the assigned waiting room during broadcast is also much smaller.”

Tiffany stated, “I’m really thankful that the members sincerely cheer on TaeTiSeo. I watched the music video with the other members, and they enviously wondered if the agency invested more (into this video) than for Girls’ Generation – causing much laughter. I think we grew fonder with one another.”

There are also advantages of promoting as a unit. Tiffany explained, “When promoting with all 9 members, each member is assigned to a certain style. Because of this, throughout the promotion, we have to display the same style. However, performing with 3 members, we are able to select from a wider variety. I think we will be able to show more variety of styles than we were able to as Girls’ Generation.”

Taeyeon also stated, “As Girls’ Generation, the group choreography was the important element, but with 3 members, the stage focuses more on vocals than choreography. I think this is the point that changed the most.”

Actress Ha Ji Won, who is currently in the spotlight with her role in the drama ‘The King 2 Hearts‘, appeared on the May 5th episode of ‘Entertainment Relay‘.

As the recording took place on the busy streets of Gangnam, fans crowded around, eager to catch a glimpse and interact with the star.

One fan in particular stepped forward to question the star, “When was the last time you were in a relationship?” to which the actress shyly answered, “It’s been quite a while. About 7~8 years ago?”

When asked how many times she has been in a relationship, Ha Ji Won seemed to fall into deep thought, but honestly replied, “Twice,” with a shy smile on her face.

On the same episode, Ha Ji Won also revealed her secret to maintaining her youthful appearance and her kiss scenes with male stars, capturing the attention of female viewers.

On May 4th, the 2012 SBS ‘Hope Concert‘ kicked off at the Seoul Olympic Park Stadium.

SBS’ ‘Hope’ charity has been running for the last 16 years. The program helps society by donating to the sick and people in poverty.  This year, the program promised to build 100 Hope schools in Africa, to enhance the education system at children care centers, and contribute to blindness programs.

To bring more awareness to the program and support the cause, many idols and singers came to perform at the concert.  IU, Ailee, Lynn, G.NA, Infinite, MBLAQ, Dynamic Duo, Rainbow, Davichi, Secret, and more came to rock the stage.

Although the weather was said to be extremely hot this day, it looks like everyone did a great job entertaining the audience.

The 2012 SBS ‘Hope’ concert aired on May 5th from 10:30 PM through 1:40 AM with 8 segments.  Check out photos and some clips from the concert below!

CNBLUE members Yonghwa and Jungshin caused no shortage of laughter as they were subject to a punishment in which they came face to face with a hungry cow.

On the May 5th episode of KBS2TV‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, the G6 members held a athletics competition with guests Yonghwa, Jungshin, Taeyeon of Girl’s Generation, and Narsha of Brown Eyed Girls.

After losing an event titled the ‘crab-walk race’, members Boom, Hyoyeon, and Yewon of Jewelry were subject to a punishment in which they had to feed a cow with the grass on their heads. In a bid to escape the punishment, Hyoyeon sent streams of aegyo at Yonghwa and asked, “Can you take the punishment for me?“, to which Yonghwa instantly replied, “I’ll do it!” Yewon followed Hyoyeon’s lead and sent distress signals at Jungshin, who also agreed by saying, “I’m a man. I’ll do it!”

However, their chivalry did not prepare them for what came next, as they waited in fright with the cow’s feed on their heads. When the hungry cow began its meal, it even licked the nape of Jungshin’s neck and ear, causing his eyes to widen comically and leading the entire cast to burst into laughter.

U-KISS member, AJ has revealed his ideal woman!

Through a recent interview with Sports Chosun, AJ revealed, “My ideal woman is athlete, Son Yeon Jae.  I’m so proud that she is so dedicated to her work and spreading awareness of Korea, despite her young age.  Honestly, I’m also charmed by her innocence.”

He continued, “I learned so much while holding our solo concert in Japan.  Of course, we want to hold a solo concert in Korea as well.  If we do get to hold one, I’d like to invite Son Yeon Jae.”

Meanwhile, U-KISS is busy promoting their new track, “DORADORA” which was co-produced by Brian Kim (Zigzag Note) and Kim Hyung Seok.  The song has generated quite the buzz lately and grabbed first place on Hanteo Chart in the album sales category.

For those who don’t know, Son Yeon Jae is a young rhythmic gymnast born in 1994. She is a 2010 Asian Games bronze medalist, as well as a member of the national gymnastic team.

2AM‘s Jo Kwon and Jinwoon made a surprise transformation into kindergartners for Children’s Day.

Jo Kwon uploaded this picture onto his personal Twitter on May 5th, and along with it wrote, “Today’s Children’s Day! Hope everyone has an enjoyable Children’s Day. I should accept reality that I am 24.”

In the picture, Jo Kwon and Jinwoon wore caps worn by kindergartners with adorable pouting faces. Jo Kwon’s facial expression in the second picture of him in a full kindergartner’s uniform brought laughs to fans.

Fans left comments on the picture saying, “I don’t think you have to accept reality.“, “A kindergartner? So cute“, and “24 is still young!”

Popular Wonder Girls member Sohee‘s childhood photos have stirred interest online.

Recently on an online community board, a post titled “Sohee’s growth through the years” has surfaced with the above photos. The pictures depict Sohee from her earlier pre-debut years. Her cute round eyes combined with her trademark cheeks have gathered the praise of numerous viewers who marveled at her transition from a cute girl into one of the members of the popular Hallyu group, Wonder Girls.

B2ST recently discussed their hopes of becoming a group that will put on the ending performance for a concert.

On the May 6th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘K-Pop Star Captivating the World‘, B2ST sat down for an interview where they revealed, “There is something B2ST has never done before. That is to stand on the ending performance stage. There are TVXQ, Big Bang, Super Junior, and 2PM subaenims, but we want to try standing on the ending performance stage as well.”

During joint K-pop concerts, the ending performance honor is usually (although not in all cases) given to the group that the organizers of the show feel has earned the most popularity and respect. Throughout the years, B2ST has proven themselves to be top K-Pop idols, gaining large amounts of fans, hitting millions of views on YouTube with music videos, and earning multiple awards. Even with these achievements under their belt, it seems that the boys still have yet to fulfill their wish of putting on the concluding performance for a concert.

Although B2ST debuted late in 2009, compared to other top male groups, the boys have worked hard to move themselves up the ladder. They’ve quickly established themselves as one of the top groups receiving the best song award with hit track, “Fiction“, and holding their own grand tour, “Beautiful Show“, for their fans all over the world.

Idol group  2PM‘s Chansung snapped a photo with a dog while preparing for a shoot for a program.

On May 5th, Chansung tweeted “I came to the set and found this lovable and affectionate kid. He’s a bit big but he’s so cute! Haha we took a photo together keke.”

The photo attached to Chansung’s tweet showed Chansung smiling with his arm around an adorable black dog with Nichkhun smiling in the back ground.

SHINee member, Jonghyun recently treated his beloved fans with a 4-set selca, full of aegyo.

On May 5th, the idol tweeted a short, “KkoKkoDaek [sound that a chicken makes]“.

Many of his fans went crazy over his cuteness, as Jonghyun shows off his aegyo with an adorable chicken hat. In addition to his fans, we suspect his fellow member, Onew, will probably appreciate the hat, as Onew’s love for chicken is well known!
