Tohoshinki's hot popularity in Japan has been proven once again, with their new single and concert DVD ranked first on the pre-order charts.

On 25 May, Tohoshinki's new single "Android" ranked first on the daily charts on major Japanese music sites including Tower Records, Mu-Mo shop and Amazon. In particular, they attracted attention for sweeping the 1st to 3rd spots on the pre-order charts for Tower Records.

"Android" is a new dance track that Tohoshinki will be releasing in Japan about a year after their previous single "Superstar". It is a song with an appeal suitable for Summer. Also, the first press releases will be available in both CD and DVD versions. The Japanese fans are anticipating it.

May 27, the day Korean heartthrob Song Joong Ki held his 1st Asia Fanmeet in Singapore at Shine Auditorium.



Despite being in Singapore for the third time, Song Joong Ki was surprised by the amount of fans at his arrival and was touched by their warm greeting. He caught the audience off guard when he kick started his fanmeet by coming onstage while singing.

Throughout the fanmeet, this flower boy managed to communicate in English occasionally. "Nice to meet you. I'm Joong Ki. Thank you." and "I think Singapore is very clean and calm. Singapore's women is very pretty". He also showed his Mandarin skills with 吃饱了 (I have eaten), 好吃 (delicious), 吃饭了吗 (Have you eaten), 我爱你 (I love you) and 再见 (Goodbye).


Little Song Joong Ki had an ambition of being famous. So after entering university, he realised that he really wanted to be an actor. He recalled that he was elated about his very first filming because it was alongside Jo In Sung. Upon revisiting his old works, Song Joong Ki said that he was embarrassed by it and wished he could hide somewhere!

Nonetheless, he enjoys it, especially with those unforgettable and interesting experiences during filming. Song Joong Ki mentioned that there were many of those during Sungkyunkwan Scandal and mostly while filming with co-star Yoo Ah In.

Sunny Hill has participated in part 1 of the OST for tvN's upcoming drama 'I Love Lee Taeri'. The new OST track titled "Do It" was released on various digital sites on May 29 and the full music video for the track has been finally unveiled.

The music video features Sunny Hill's Jubi, who will be making her acting debut in the same drama, along with her fictional girl group "Apple Head" members. The video also shows highlight scenes from the drama featuring Kim Ki Bum and Park Ye Jin.

"Do It" is composed and produced by Night & Day and is characterized by a fast beat and an electronic rock guitar sound. With its powerful sound and addictive melody, it's expected to appeal to people of all ages.

[NEWS] Big Bang will not promote ‘Still Alive’ album

Big Bang will not hold promotional activities for their upcoming special edition album 'Still Alive'. The group will focus on its ongoing world tour '2012 Big Bang Alive Tour' instead.

On May 29, a spokesperson for Big Bang's agency, YG Entertainment, stated, "The album is like a present for fans who loved the group's fifth mini album. The group is not planning to promote the album in Korea."

Big Bang is in the midst of a series of concerts lined up in Japan. The group started their tour with shows in Nagoya and Yokohama, and plans to visit Osaka on May 31~June 3, Saitama on June 16~17 and Fukuoka on June 23~24. With Big Bang's packed concert schedule, performing in Korea seems impossible.

'Still Alive', its title song "Monster" and music video will be released on June 3 while the hard copy will be available on June 6. This mini album will include a total of nine tracks; five new songs as well as "Blue", "Bad Boy", "Fantastic Baby" and "Love Dust". The title song "Monster" was written and composed by G-Dragon.

[NEWS] Oh Won Bin holds debut album launch event

Oh Won Bin, a former member of FT Island, held his first solo album launching event entitled "Wherever" on Saturday at the Shinjuku Blaze in Tokyo.

At the promotional event scheduled to mark the release of his debut Japanese album "Time To" launched on May 21, the singer sang some of past hits from "Descended From the Sky" to tracks on his new album such as "Don't Cry."

"I've been busy the past year, especially with the musical 'The Three Musketeers,'" said the boy band singer.
"Despite being away from Japan, I've been thinking about you all and have missed you so much."

[NEWS] Super Junior wraps up “Super Show 4” with encore concert in Seoul

Super Junior held its encore concerts from May 26 to 27 at Olympic Park in Bangi-dong, eastern Seoul.

The two performances were an extension of the "Super Show 4" tour, which kicked-off in November and travelled to Osaka, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Macau, Bangkok, Paris, Shanghai and Jakarta as well as an earlier performance in Seoul.

At the repeat performance, the band members dazzled fans anew by taking to the stage with individual solo acts.
"We are performing for two nights, so we should really be conserving our energy, but as per usual, I've just let myself go!" said Leeteuk, the group's leader.

More than 22,000 fans were in attendance at the 3.5 hours shows which were sold-out way ahead of time.
The band is looking to release a new album in the near future and has more international performances on its radar.

JYP Entertainment's newest talent JJ Project has showcased its force online with its music video to the track "Bounce" landing on top spots on various YouTube segments.

Although the band only made its debut on May 24, the music video to their debut song has exceeded two million hits in just one week.

The duo, which was forecasted to be the most vibrant group according to its label JYP Entertainment, managed to garner more than one million views in just two days of its video being released.

On the day of its release, the video was also fourth on the favorite segment worldwide, 10th on the most viewed and the seventh video with the most comments. Meanwhile, on YouTube Korea's portal, the video was the most viewed, most popular and most talked about.

Boy band TOUCH held its first "Touch First Showcase in Japan" on May 26 at the Tomb in Shibuya, Tokyo.

At the meet-and-greet showcase, the boy band sang a collection of its hit songs from "Killin' Me" and "Rockin' the Club." Individual members also showed their stuff from dance moves to powerful vocal performances.

There was also a "Hi-Touch" event at the end with fans given the chance to shake hands and pose with the band members.

Singer BoA recently admitted on an episode of KBS 2TV's "Win Win" to be aired on May 29th that she still get butterflies when performing.

BoA surprised the entire crew by saying, "I started getting stage fright when I debuted in Japan and it hasn't stopped ever since."

She added, "I felt that I'm not good enough as a singer when I held a debut showcase in Japan. Then I started getting stage fright. Some people even said that it'll take this girl at least ten years in order for her to hold a concert here."

The similar pace of Park Yoochun and Han Ji Min who are well loved as the "Gak-Ha couple" in SBS's "Rooftop Prince" attracted attention.

After the end of the drama, and after completing crazily the CF shooting that was accumulated during the period, the two persons are scheduled to travel as a way of relaxing. In the 3 months period up until the final episode on May 24th, 2012, there was not even 1 day of rest, so they prepared the "must rest" plan in short period of time.
