JYJ’s Yoochun seriously considered adopting a younger sister over the past two years

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 03:24 AM PDT

On June 4th, JYJ‘s Yoochun was interviewed at a restaraunt in Kangnam, in which he shockingly revealed, “I really love daughters. My mother and I seriously considered adopting a younger sister.

During the start of the interview, Yoochun could not conceal his excitement at the mention of Kim So Hyun, the child actress who played the young Sena on SBS‘s ‘Rooftop Prince‘. Yoochun stated, “She is so cute. I want a younger sister or daughter like her. I really do love daughters.

Fans were very curious as to how Yoochun and So Hyun have such a close relationship, in which they hold numerous conversations over Twitter, even though they have never had a scene together in ‘Rooftop Prince’. To this, Yoochun explained, “There were many times when our waiting rooms were close by or times when we shared the same waiting room. Therefore, So Hyun and I saw each other a lot . I spent a lot of time with So Hyun because the waiting time [for 'Rooftop Prince'] was long. So Hyun would come find me first and bring me food to eat and ask to take pictures together. It was really cute”.

Furthermore, Yoochun revealed his past consideration of adopting a younger sister and stated, ”Whenever I went to welfare buildings or shelters for children to volunteer or make a donation, I was heartbroken when I saw the children. I also have memories of when I went through a difficult period because I lived away from my family, but I feel like those children must be having a much more difficult time. I wanted to give someone as much love as I can, which is why I considered adoption for the past two years. It was a serious dilemma for me.

The interviewer stated that Yoochun’s smiling face turned serious in an instant when he discussed the reason for not following through with the adoption. Yoochun stated, “I felt that a celebrity is a profession in which you cannot give all your love to one person. I gave up the decision to adopt because I felt like it would be an irresponsible act.

Subsequently after discussing the topic of marriage with Yoochun, the interviewer wrote, “He is giving much thought about marriage, which is why I think he said that he will publicly reveal his relationship if he starts to date this time. With dating and marriage in mind, Yoochun wants to meet her in a sincere manner. He doesn’t have a concrete plan set for marriage, but his face brightened as soon as he began to fantasize about having a daughter.”

Yoochun said, “I really love daughters. I fantasize about having a loving family. When I marry I think I will be able to have a daughter like So Hyun. At the minimum, I think there is a 70% chance that I will have a pretty daughter. If she’s my daughter, she’ll definitely be pretty,” causing himself to laugh.

Vietnamese singer copies HyunA’s “Bubble Pop” music video concept

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 02:53 AM PDT

HyunA‘s “Bubble Pop” proved its extreme international popularity as a Vietnamese singer has been receiving much attention, after copying the concept of HyunA’s “Bubble Pop”.

Previously, a Chinese artist had imitated HyunA’s “Bubble Pop” music video, and now Vietnamese singer Bao Thi has followed suit with her music video.

Bao Thi dances in a wife-beater tank top and shorts with an SUV in the background of the “Eungah in the Room” music video, much like HyunA in “Bubble Pop”. In fact, the only difference between the two scenes are the colors of the SUV in the background, and of course the quality of the production.

Vietnamese netizens replied with, “This reminds me of “Bubble Pop”” and “Let’s not follow K-Pop“.

Bao Thi debuted as a singer after winning a beauty pageant and has been previously criticized for plagiarizing Lee Hyori‘s “10 Minutes” and “U Go Girl“.

MBC apologizes for mislabeling ‘Sea of Japan’ on broadcast

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 12:34 AM PDT

Broadcast station MBC recently drew the ire of eagle-eyed viewers when they noticed that they had made a labeling error on the program, ‘Let’s Go Video Journey‘, where they accidentally named the body of water between Korea and Japan as the ‘Sea of Japan’ instead of ‘East Sea’. East Sea is Korea’s traditional name for the geographical landmark that extends to the east of the Korean peninsula.

In an era of new South Korean-Japanese tension, the mistake drew disapproving comments. “What is this, are you joking?” the furious viewers commented. “How could you not pick that up? Apologize immediately.”

To add fuel to the fire, this is the second time the mistake had been committed by the editing team – last May, the program made the same exact error, using the ‘Sea of Japan’ instead of the ‘East Sea’.

On the same day the criticism appeared, the producers of ‘Let’s Go Video Journey’ posted an official apology to their homepage. “We used an incorrect map which named the East Sea as the Sea of Japan. We deeply apologize for not checking beforehand and catching the mistake,” they said. “We will try our hardest to make sure this mistake never repeats itself. We apologize deeply once again. We are sorry.”

The name of the sea has long been a point of contention between South Korea and Japan. While worldwide convention uses ‘Sea of Japan’, South Korea has long been adamant that ‘East Sea’ should be used instead.

Should A-JAX continue their high-level ‘back-down’ choreography?

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 12:11 AM PDT

Rookie group, A-JAX‘s fans are split between the shocking ‘back down‘ choreography.

A-JAX took off their veil by making their debut stages on MBC‘s ‘Music Core‘ and SBS‘ ‘Inkigayo‘ with their title song, “ONE 4 U“. They attracted the viewer’s attentions with their synchronized moves and a shocking performance called the ‘back down.’

The ‘back down’ dance is falling on your back from an upright position while keeping your body straight without any safety devices. The move received a lot of attention when it was first performed by A-JAX’s agency sunbae, Kim Jae Duk from Sechskies in the late 90′s.

However, A-JAX upped the impact of the move by having all 6 members doing the ‘back down’ at the same time. Netizens’ responses were split between, “I’m worried because it’s such a dangerous dance move” and “A strong choreography that gives a huge impact.

It hasn’t been decided yet whether the ‘back down’ performance will continue since it was initially prepared as a ‘debut performance’. A-JAX members are determined to continue to perform the ‘back down’ but their agency DSP Media is contemplating whether they will or not.

A-JAX successfully made their debut stages, and even made it to the number two postion on Naver‘s real-time search rankings immediately after their debut stage.

Posted: 04 Jun 2012 12:05 AM PDT

After the May 27th broadcast of ‘Running Man‘ featuring Park Ji Sung and IU, many netizens have been speculating whether the line on Park Ji Sung’s upper left arm was a tattoo.

The speculation has now been cleared up as Song Ji Hyo questioned the soccer player during the June 3rd episode asking, “Is that a tattoo on your arm?

An embarrassed Park Ji Sung shyly answered, “It’s just a pen mark. During the market race, I was giving an autograph, but it accidentally got on my arm.”

The pen mark had been a huge issue on the web with many assuming that it was a tattoo. After last week’s broadcast, the term ‘Park Ji Sung’s tattoo‘ quickly became one of the top most searched term on various portal sites.
