2AM’s Jinwoon to possibly join the cast of ‘Laws of the Jungle 2′

Posted: 06 Jul 2012 09:02 AM PDT

There seems to be a high possibility of 2AM‘s maknae Jinwoon joining the cast of the suvival series, SBS‘s ‘Laws of the Jungle 2‘.

On July 6th, a representative of Jinwoon’s agency stated through a phone call with TV Report, “It’s true that Jinwoon is in discussion with producers of ‘Laws of the Jungle 2′. However, nothing has been decided as of yet. Because Jinwoon is very athletic, we do believe he’ll do well if he participates, but we will need to have a further discussion due to 2AM’s schedule in Japan in September and October.”

Fans have shown a positive response upon hearing the news of his possible cast in the program. The rep commented, “Although nothing has been confirmed yet, we’re grateful to receive such positive feedback from fans.”

Meanwhile, Kim Byung Man and his new crew will be heading to Madagascar near the end of July to begin filming ‘Laws of the Jungle 2′.

Lee Hyori to appear on Mnet’s ‘Show Me the Money’

Posted: 06 Jul 2012 08:27 AM PDT

Singer Lee Hyori has been confirmed to appear on Mnet‘s new hip hop program, ‘Show Me the Money‘.

The singer is in discussion with the producers of the program to adjust schedules in order to record. A representative stated, “Because ‘Show Me the Money’ is currently recording episodes 2~3 weeks prior to broadcast, we believe the episode featuring Lee Hyori will air on the 5th or 6th episode.”

Director Shin Hyung Kwan of Mnet said, “When Lee Hyori first expressed her desire to appear on the program via Twitter, I was very happy but began to become suspicious, wondering if it was a fan impersonating Lee Hyori. But after I saw the amount of followers (460,000) the Twitter account had, I was positive that it was her so we immediately went into discussion that night.”

He continued, “Although Lee Hyori expressed her desire to appear on the program on Twitter, it must not have been easy for her, so I was surprised to see her gladly accept the cast offer. I’m happy knowing that her appearance on the program will be an opportunity to spread the genre hip hop.

Last month, Lee Hyori took to Twitter to show her support for the program and left a message that read, “I seem to still like hip-hop. ‘Show me The Money' is so fun to watch'.” She then left a message to the PD of the program stating, “Feel free to contact me if you need me, by any chance. I would like to perform together with Illtong.”

Two members of Tanjinyo sentenced to prison

Posted: 06 Jul 2012 02:02 AM PDT

Two members of Tajinyo, a group that’s been making malicious claims about the validity of Tablo‘s degree from Stanford University, have been sentenced to prison.

‘Won’ and ‘Lee’ were sentenced to 10-month prison terms for defaming the rapper at Seoul Central District Court on July 6, 10AM KST. Six other members of the group were given 8-10 months in prison, suspended for 2 years.

Judge Kwak Yoon Kyung stated, “The public is free to express their interest in celebrities, and celebrities must handle it to some extent. However, the two went over the threshold of simple comments into continuous, malicious slander against Tablo and his family.”

He went on, “Though Tablo had submitted sufficient evidence, they didn’t believe it and claimed it was the work of hackers and middlemen; the malicious comments did not stop. The two persons [are guilty] of defamation of character against Tablo and his family, and they even insisted that the evidence was fabricated. Because they did not apologize or reflect [on their actions], they were sentenced.”
