C-CLOWN releases MV for “SOLO”

Posted: 18 Jul 2012 08:06 AM PDT

After teasing us all last week, rising rookie idol group C-CLOWN has finally released the music video for “SOLO“.

Short for ‘Crown Clown‘, the six members of C-Clown are ready to impress with their top-notch music and performances. Like their name suggests, the group is determined to become ‘king’ of the K-Pop scene and achieve their ‘crown’. The group is under Yedang Entertainment and consists of members: leader Barom (Rome), Kim Taemin (Siwoo), Kim Hyunil (Ray), Kangjun (JunK), Lee Minwoo (TK), and Jaejun (Mau).

Their title track is “SOLO”, the second track off their debut album.

Written and composed by RaDo who produced the entire album as well as composers Ji-In and Wontaek, the song sings the heart of a man who is being let go by his lover. Different from most of today’s ‘idol music’ that consists of a catchy hook and electronic sounds, “SOLO” has more of an analogous feel and it’s simple melody will leave listeners singing along with just a few listens.

The contemporary and mainstream melody is sure to leave a strong impression. Check out the music video below!

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun also shared a similar experience, “I ran into two foreign trainees at my company, and I found it strange when they asked me about my nationality. One time while I was having lunch with the other Super Junior members, I received an eye signal from one of the trainees to not sit with the other members. I later realized that those foreign trainees didn’t know I was a Super Junior member. What’s more, I was wearing full makeup at the time.”

She revealed, “I don’t talk about this often, but when I was in S.E.S., my nickname was ‘five album singer’. It’s an embarrassing confession. During my trainee days, I didn’t act like a rookie singer. Because I was interested in musicals during high school, I was embarrassed to debut as an idol,” explaining the reason behind her nickname.

Bada also gave some advice to the contestants saying, “After I debuted and eventually became a solo artist, I learned that as I show my improving talent, I have to be humble in order to continue to live as a person with solid principles. I didn’t know that in my younger days, but I really feel that way now. Although I am no superstar, I was able to get to where I am today because of my talent and experience, and my confidence has to always be followed by modesty.”
