The boys of B.A.P made a guest appearance on the August 22nd episode of MBC's 'Weekly Idol'.

During one of the segments, the members of B.A.P were asked to dance to the songs of their fellow TS Entertainment labelmates SECRET. The boys brought a lot of laughter with their hilarious dance moves.

After MC Kang Ho Dong announced that he would soon be returning to the entertainment industry hand in hand with SM C&C, rumors about comedian Kim Gura making his own respective return have began to spread.

Kim Gura who temporarily stepped away from the entertainment industry in April due to controversy over some of his past remarks has reportedly received an offer to host the popular tvN talk show, ‘TAXI‘. It has also been reported that he is considering the idea of returning to his past programs such as MBC‘s ‘Quiz That Changes The World‘, ‘Radio Star‘, and more.

A high-ranking representative at MBC informed OSEN, “If Kim Gura returns to television, he will without a doubt be able to work at MBC. The lead producer will make the final decisions when it comes to the details, but if he officially announces his return, it would not be strange at all for him to return to the programs he was hosting before.”

Fellow MC Kang Ho Dong also recently announced his comeback. As of now, the broadcast representatives are more eager to get him back on television, more so than Kang Ho Dong himself.

Kang Ho Dong announced his temporary leave from the industry last September, and the rumors regarding his return have not stopped circling since. Recently, however, news of himself and fellow MC Shin Dong Yup signing with SM C&C have been reported in the news.

A broadcast insider informed OSEN, “There is great potential for Kang Ho Dong to return to the programs he led before. Because he has been away for about a year now, he will most likely choose the program he can most comfortably return to host, among ‘Knee-Drop Guru‘, ‘Star King‘, and others.”

In the event that both these MCs return to television, the broadcast company that will most benefit from their comeback is MBC. MBC is currently running most of the variety show programs, and both Kang Ho Dong and Kim Gura’s return are expected to give the variety shows a fresh jolt of energy.

SISTAR‘s Dasom revealed that she searched for VIXX online before meeting them for the first time on the 10th episode of VIXX TV.

VIXX TV is a documentary style show released on the group’s official YouTube channel. Dasom, who appears as the female lead character in their “Rock Ur Body” music video, appeared as the first guest.

On this episode, Dasom commented, “I searched VIXX online after hearing I was cast in their music video. They were really good looking. I feel that all of the six members are handsome guys with unique, individual personalities. I’d like it if VIXX and SISTAR become close groups.”

The “Rock Ur Body” MV, which features Dasom, received positive responses for its incorporation of 2D and CG effects to create the feel of a classic, retro game.

Despite earlier news that T-ara‘s Eunjung had voluntarily dropped out of the new SBS drama ‘Five Fingers‘, there are now conflicting reports that both the idol and her agency had no idea she was leaving the cast.

A representative from Core Contents Media told OSEN on the 22nd KST, “We’re not sure why there are reports [that Eunjung voluntarily dropped out of the drama]. She had no intention of dropping out, and we don’t believe she has a reason to.”

“We’ve already received a portion of her appearance fee. She even practiced piano and her lines just yesterday… SBS hasn’t even sent in an [official report]. We’re currently figuring out what happened.”

An official from SBS’ drama department stated, “It’s true that we discussed Eunjung leaving the drama. We understand that it’s been agreed upon that she will drop out.”

Eunjung also commented through an acquaintance, “Last Sunday I participated in a test filming, and just yesterday I was practicing the script, so I couldn’t believe that I was leaving the drama so suddenly. I don’t think there’s anything I can do as of now. I’ll follow the decision of the broadcast station SBS and the drama staff.”

Loen Tree has released the album jacket photos for ‘Summer Story‘.

‘Summer Story’, a project album featuring Loen Entertainment artists, was released earlier this month. The album was produced by Lee Min Soo, G.Gorilla, and Ra.D, and features IU, Sunny Hill, Zia, Ga In, and girl group FIESTAR.

KARA‘s Gyuri discussed the diet she went through preparing for the group’s ‘Pandora‘ comeback.

During the comeback showcase on August 22nd KST, Gyuri shared, “While preparing for the album, I went on a protein diet for 2-3 months. I was happy that the fans who saw my solo teaser commented that [I lost a lot of weight].”

Nicole commented, “Though it was a goal to lose weight to show a more mature image, we also worked hard for our health and [to tone our bodies],” while Hara joked, “I worked hard to get rid of my description of ‘elementary school kid body’.”

Seungyeon also stated, “We tried hard to [look good for this comeback], whether it be Gyuri’s diet or Hara’s exercise. I hope to show a better side to us musically this album.”

Singer Solbi recently shared a self-made painting to give fans a hint about what her upcoming mini-album will be like.

Solbi posted to her Twitter on the 22d, “This is my most recent work titled, ‘Concentration Queen’~ Although she is up on one leg, when she concentrates on something she can carry the world… I tried to express the [pledges I've made] for my upcoming album through a fairy tale. I pray that ‘Ottogi’ becomes a hit like the ‘Concentration Queen’.”

Dara shared on her me2day on the 21st, “6:30 A.M.! Although we’re awaiting another packed schedule today, Minzy and Dara did some morning jogging! Minzy is trying to run slowly to match Dara unni’s place. Punk~ you’ve matured a lot, Hehe,” along with the photos above.

She later added, “Minzy is stretching her legs~ [She is] getting ready to run around the Hudson River~!!! Are you ready~?! At first Minzy ran slowly… But after getting in the groove, she showed her [quick] speed… All of a sudden, the distance between us became so wide that I started to become impatient. I ran 6.74km (~4 miles)… I kept trying to follow her. But then… I got struck by an ‘exertion headache’! Today’s lesson! If Dara tries to follow after Minzy, a headache will come upon her.”

Actress Kim Jung Nan of hit drama ‘Gentlemen’s Class‘ shed tears while discussing supportive netizen comments on the August 21st episode of SBS‘ ‘Strong Heart‘.

She shared, “‘Gentlemen’s Class’ has really become a hit. I gained popularity, and a lot of comments on my acting skills have changed as well.”

The actress shed tears as she continued, “Tears were forming when I was reading through the comments. The most memorable comment was ‘I’ve watched many of Kim Jung Nan’s works. I was hoping that one day this actress will become successful, but I’m glad that she is getting more noticed now’. (When I read the comment) tears flowed down my face. I was only going about my way, but I realized that there were so many people who were supporting me. And I thought that I really shouldn’t take acting lightly.”

Kim Jung Nan went on, “I continued reading the comments, and someone said, ‘Kim Jung Nan is probably going to be crying while reading these,’ which made me cry even more,” as she wiped the tears off her face.

Dubbed as the “Witch of Chungdam” in ‘Gentlemen’s Class’, Kim Jung Nan garnered much interest and popularity for her role Park Min Sook, a billionaire street-owner who controlled just about everyone except her own husband, Lee Jung Rok.

South Korea’s hip hop couple Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae met up with hip hop superstars Dr. Dre and The Alchemist.

Jungle Entertainment told allkpop that Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, and Dr. Dre greeted each other at a club in Gangnam on the 18th where they talked about music and their families. Tiger JK was actually invited by Dr. Dre himself following his request to meet South Korea’s top hip hop musician.

A representative from Tiger JK’s camp revealed, “Tiger JK got the chance to meet with Beats headphone creators and musicians Dr. Dre and The Alchemist. They talked about each other’s music and even promised to have a future collaboration.”

Dr. Dre is a legend in the hip hop scene and a top producer who’s worked closely with artists like Eminem and 50 Cent, while producer and DJ The Alchemist is known to have been a close friend of Tiger JK for many years.

Tiger JK’s camp further stated, “At first they didn’t know much about Korea, but they said the energy here is really good. [Tiger JK] had a really good time with Dr. Dre, who invited him, The Alchemist also showed his close friendship with Tiger JK…”

In other news, Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae (T) recently collaborated with Far East Movement for a performance. Yoon Mi Rae is currently getting ready for her comeback, which her husband will be helping with as producer.

PURETTY has released the ‘lip version’ of their "Cheki☆Love" PV!

As mentioned previously, the single is currently the theme for 'Pretty Rhythm', an anime based on the girls of PURETTY being broadcast in Japan.

The anime tells the story of the girl group members' growth from trainees to major stars in both Korea and Japan. It’s scheduled to to air in Korea in the near future.

f(x)‘s Sulli revealed one of the insecurities she has about her appearance on the August 21st broadcast of SBS’ ‘Strong Heart‘.

Sulli was asked, “Is there something about your appearance you feel insecure about?“, to which she replied, “Actually, my eyes are uneven. My left eye is smaller than my right eye. So when I laugh, fans think I’m winking, but in actuality, one of my eyes just closes.”

Alex, who is currently taking a hiatus after a recent drunk driving incident, is no longer part of the cast of jTBC‘s ‘Fortune Favors the Childless‘.

Alex was to play the son of actor Song Seung Hwan on the show. However, on July 18th, after Alex was arrested for driving under the influence, it was uncertain whether he would be kept on the show.

On August 22nd, jTBC announced that Alex’s role will be replaced by actor Jung Joon, and that the cast and staff will rush to begin filming on August 23rd.

In related news, ‘Fortune Favors the Childless’ revolves around the lives of three families in the suburbs of Seoul. The program will begin airing on October 13th.

MBC‘s popular 20-episode drama series, ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun‘, will be made into one 60-minute segment, featuring the highlights of the plot.

The 60-minute digest will be aired on MBC every1 on August 24th as ‘60-minute Drama – The Moon that Embraces the Sun‘.

Starting with ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun’, MBC every1 will be compressing popular past dramas into 60-minute episodes and air them every Friday, starting on the 24th.

An insider at MBC every1 stated, “We are planning to create 60-minute versions of dramas that had been successful in the past each week. We hope viewers can enjoy the shorter versions just as much.”

After the release of a few pictures from 2PM's Junho‘s pictorial in ‘W Korea‘ magazine, a behind-the-scenes video has been revealed, giving fans a better look at what went on during the photo shoot.
