"The Tension Of World Star Kim Jaejoong Of ‘Code Name: Jackal’?" plus 24 more

"The Tension Of World Star Kim Jaejoong Of ‘Code Name: Jackal’?" plus 24 more

The Tension Of World Star Kim Jaejoong Of ‘Code Name: Jackal’?

Posted: 15 Nov 2012 07:52 AM PST

World star Kim Jaejoong was very nervous.

To everyone, the word 'first' has a very deep meaning. If the singer has the first record, the actor has the first movie/drama. To Kim Jaejoong who has already positioned himself firmly as the best Hallyu star of South Korea, the movie 'Code name: Jackal' is his first screen debut. His heart palpitated with worries.

Kim Jaejoong showed a quite stiff look at the interview with Newsen in a café at Seoul Samcheong-dong on Nov 12.  It was his first interview as a rookie movie actor. Kim Jaejoong was very humble and answered honestly the questions.

Actually, even the reaction of 'surprise/unexpectedness' was also due to the tacit prejudice against him. Instead of topics that can become eye-catching gossips such as his private life, [JYJ] members, dating or love, I was more curious about the acting of 'actor Kim Jaejoong' (T/N: the reporter used연기학 to refer acting as a major of study). I was amazed by his cleverness and adroitness which I couldn't catch for a brief moment at first.

"I think you will be trembling whatever kind of "first" experience it is. Also, because I don't have experience, the movie world somehow seems harsher." Kim Jaejoong carefully opened his heart, "I am having that feeling again. I hope that everyone would enjoy it. This is my first big screen appearance. It was really burdensome."

In this movie, Kim Jaejoong plays Choi Hyun, an arrogant top star. Apart from the entire story and directing, it's indeed surprising to watch the character Choi Hyun brought to life by Kim Jaejoong. Of course, his acting skill was already verified through dramas 'Protect the Boss' and 'Dr. Jin'. However, movie is obviously different from drama. This man who will take over the big screen, there is nothing that he can't do.

"I have watched the movie twice. The first time I was absent-minded. The second time finally the whole drama came into my eyes. More than anything else, the characters are so funny. Although it's the movie I chose, I was actually worried a lot about how I would portray Choi Hyun who is also a singer just like me. I was also curious about my acting. (Laughs) I wonder whether it would be fine if I followed the screenplay."

As time passed, many things were filmed but he also suffered because of that. He must not lose the string of emotion and had to show the aesthetic aspect of the 'messing up' which is not really easy to act out. Since he has perfectly digested it (t/n: portrayed the character), isn't the only fear the praises that will pour down?

"Oh, it still leaves much to be desired. I think the first time is the hardest time. Should I do that gently?  Should I give much power on my shoulders? Because I must show some desperate actions in order to survive after being kidnapped, it was probably a distinction. It might be confusing but I did my best. I did try very hard. Really! Haha"

SHINee wants to take a walk down Orchard Road

Posted: 15 Nov 2012 07:00 AM PST

SHINee is no stranger to our shores, having visited our sunny island for various promotional activities; even holding their first solo concert last year. Back in Singapore again, SHINee expressed their excitement at having their second solo concert, SHINee World II in Singapore.

In an email interview with xinmsn, leader Onew declared, "SHINee World II concert is our dream concert!" He added that Shawols (SHINee's fans) should not skip their December 8 gig lest they miss out on a night to remember.

Having visited Singapore numerous times, we asked if the plucky lads have anything special on their agenda during their upcoming visit. "Just visiting Singapore itself is quite exciting; however, I would like to see more of the Singapore scenery, culture, and other local features. Also, would love to eat the famous chilli crabs and take a walk on Orchard Road," 19-year-old Taemin responded.

With a set list that not only includes their latest hits such as 'Sherlock', SHINee will push their limits once again with tracks from Jason Mraz, Lady Gaga and Chris Brown. Also included will be the much buzzed-about 'Internet War' performance by Jonghyun and Taemin.

Jonghyun explained, "The inspiration was to create performance in joint effort rather than creating a solo performance as I felt there was more merit in putting it together with other members." The result? A horde of appreciative, screaming fans who revel in the eyebrow-raising performance that includes handcuffs, a shirtless Jonghyun and even a steamy moment between the two members.

Another aspect of the performance that attracted attention was the "tattoos" that Jonghyun sported for the performance. He shared, "Since our debut I wanted to show my appreciation to the fans for all their support, so I wrote names of fan club sites," adding that the unique look took 20 minutes to achieve.

With the SHINee boys spending the bulk of their time in Korea, we asked how they stay close to with fans all around the world. Key shared, "Since we (get an) extremely positive response whenever we share events from our everyday lives and on any news, we are planning to communicate with our fans through SNS (social networking sites) every chance we get."

With Key and Jonghyun active on Korean SNS me2day and Twitter respectively, Shawols are definitely up-to-date with their latest happenings. Key also disclosed that they do, in fact, check responses to their posts and are deeply appreciative of the love that they have received.

SHINee World II in Singapore

IU's hit song Good Day is not a hit on karaoke?

Posted: 15 Nov 2012 05:01 AM PST

It looks like IU's hit song "Good Day" is not popular in karaokes.

On the 14th of November broadcast of MBC "Dancing in the golden mic" they featured students from Dae Jin University , the school is celebrating their 21st anniversary. They conducted a survey which involved 100 male college students.

The question was, "Which song sung by a girl do you least like to sing in karaokes?". The number 1 song that came out on the survey was IU's "Good Day". There were two major reasons why college students don't like to sing IU's song on karaoke's. First was that it was awkward if they would sing it themselves and not IU and its hard to sing IU's 3 level high note.
