Big Bang sets London concert record among Korean artists

Big Bang successfully wrapped up its London stint over the weekend, with 24,000 fans attending concerts on Friday and Saturday, according to YG Entertainment.

Just one show was originally planned, but with demand for tickets surging, the agency penciled in Saturday's concert.

The show at Wembley Arena set a new record for the largest crowd gathered to see a Korean act in England.

It wasn't just those from United Kingdom who went to the concert. According to the agency, fans from France, Germany, Italy and Spain all descended on London to see the K-pop act.

The Guardian reviewed the gig and gave it four out of five stars, calling the show a "fabulous spectacle" and saying that compared to Western pop acts, the "edges are crisper, the sound louder, the dancing sharper."

The "Alive Galaxy Tour," which kicked off in Shanghai in July, has also made stops in Indonesia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia and the Americas.

The show will conclude next month in Seoul from Jan. 25 to 27.

MBLAQ's Lee Joon who transformed into an actor shows his love towards his fans during his outdoor filming/recording.

J. Tune Camp revealed that recently during the outdoor shooting of the movie "An Actor is an Actor" (Directed by Shin Yeon-Sik) more than 200 fans despite the below-zero temperatures came to cheer/support Lee Joon.

Lee Joon, though fatigued after the shooting, for his waiting fans held an impromptu fan autograph session.

Lee Joon expressed "On-site the movie shooting, to hold an impromptu fan autograph session was very meaningful and interesting. I am very thankful to the fans who came out to cheer me on despite the cold weather. I will make every effort to do my best on stage as well as to show an appearance of a fine/handsome actor."

Lee Joon is currently simultaneously filming KBS2 drama "Iris 2" as well as the movie "An Actor is an Actor".

2PM's Jun.K will be singing the OST for the upcoming movie 'My Little Hero' which is to be aired in January 2013.

On December 19th, the production agency of 'My Little Hero' announced that Jun.K will participate in the OST for the movie. Titled "Sunshine", the song is written by the movie's music director, Kim Rae Won. It is hoped that the impressive lyrics and touching melody can grab the audience's hearts through Jun.K's emotional vocals.

"Sunshine" will be played during the highlight scene in the movie, and Jun.K's emotional voice will be making the song sound even better.

Song Ji Hyo joins Lee Kwang Soo in dubbing for ‘Maritime Police Marco’

Song Ji Hyo joined fellow 'Running Man' cast member Lee Kwang Soo in dubbing the upcoming animation movie, 'Maritime Police Marco'.

'Maritime Police Marco' is a comic fantasy animation about maritime police Marco saving an island. The movie's main character, Marco, will be voiced by Lee Kwang Soo while Song Ji Hyo will voice Marco's first love, the musical actress aspiring Lulu.

Taking on her first challenge to dub an animated film, Song Ji Hyo shared, "I am nervous to meet with the public in a different method. I hope it brings a lot of laughter to the children this winter."

Son Dambi and Kim Jae Won to host ‘2012 MBC Drama Awards’

After announcing the hosts for 'Entertainment Awards', MBC has now confirmed that singer Son Dambi and Kim Jae Won will be the emcee for this year's 'MBC Drama Awards'.

On December 19th, an official for MBC announced, "Kim Jae Won and Son Dambi have been selected as MCs for the Drama Awards ceremony which will be held on December 30."

The official added, The two stars, who recently appeared on MBC TV series, will emcee this year's awards ceremony. We believe their appearances will be more meaningful."

Kim Jae Won is currently starring in MBC's weekend drama 'May Queen' while Son Dambi received much praises on 'Light and Shadow' which ended airing back in July.

The '2012 MBC Drama Awards' will be held on December 30 at MBC in Yeouido.

MBLAQ's Mir recently confessed that he lied to his mom about money.

On the December 18th episode of SBS's 'Strong Heart', Mir appeared on the show and apologized to his mother about lying that he earned 1 billion won.

He confessed, "I lied to my mother and said I earned about 100 billion won. After hearing that, my mom started screaming and hung up the phone. I called her back immediately, but she didn't answer. I found out that she was telling about it to all of her friends."

Mir then turned to the camera and apologized to his mom saying, "Mom, there is no 1 billion won, but I'll work hard and give it to you soon."

Filming of KBS2's 'My Daughter Seoyoung' was canceled after its set was taken over by members of the Korean Broadcast Actors Union (KBAU).

On December 18th, the Korea Broadcasting Actors Union took over the drama's set because the actors had not been paid yet. The union members and KBS2 couldn't settle on an agreement after the actors claimed that they were owed some 1.3 billion won ($1.2 million), forcing the production company to halt the filming.

KBS stated, "The problem with the pay lies with the outside production companies. However, we will do our best to keep broadcasting on the regular dates."

INFINITE’s Sunggyu reveals he once drank for 12 hours straight

INFINITE's Sunggyu recently recalled his experiece of losing memory after drinking for 12 hours straight.

Sunggyu participated on a recent recording for KBS health show, 'Vitamin' for its end of the year health watch special. During the show, he shared, "Before I debuted, I once drank with my friends from night until lunch the next day and lost all recollection of what happened after."

The singer continued, "When I woke up it was 11AM and I was sleeping calmly in my house. I had no memories of what happened until I got home. I was able to determine when I came home after I looked at the taxi receipt that was sent through text."

Fans of the male idol group JYJ (Jaejoong Kim, Yuchun Park, Junsu Kim) are drawing people's attention by their unique way of encouragement for election.

A 20-foot-tall snow sculpture of Psy was recently found in the middle of a town square.

Psy recently tweeted, "Gotta see this pic. Seems like there's #SnowPSY in Harbin, China", and uploaded a photo of the giant sculpture of the singer, complete with sunglasses and a belt that denoted the letter "H," and of course doing the horse dance.

Earlier today, PSY announced the news on his Twitter saying, "My show in Philippines is postponed by local promoter-side but i will see you soon in February 2013."

According to the concert's organizers, Psy's 'The Gangnam Show' concert has been moved to February 2013. The concert was originally set on Decemer 20th, at the Mall of Asia Arena but was postponed due to "logistical issues."

MYNAME successfully wrapped up their first solo concert tour in Japan!

On December 15 and 17, MYNAME hosted their first solo concert tour "MYNAME 1st LIVE – What's Up" in Osaka and Tokyo. The concerts were each 2 hours in length, and in front of 5,000 lucky fans, the group performed 20 songs that they released in Korea and Japan.

Also, each member prepared solo stages, appealing each and everyone's talent and charms to the fans. Furthermore, there were several fans appeared in similar costumes and makeups as the members.
