Jung Dong Ha and Ali beat the competition on the December 15th ‘winter special with friends’ episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘.

The two vocalists performed a cover of Kwang Ha Moon‘s “Love Song“, showing off their talented vocals. They were matched up against the “original idol” team of Son Ho Young and Kim Tae Woo in the final, but the 420 votes they received was good enough to win the competition.

Brown Eyed GirlsJeA and singer Jo Kwan Woo collaborated for a winter ballad on the December 15th ‘winter special with friends’ episode of KBS2TV‘s ’Immortal Song 2‘.

The two singers performed a powerful yet sweet rendition of “Winter Story“. Though they both expressed they were nervous before getting on stage, JeA and Jo Kwan Woo captured the audience with their rich, mesmerizing performance.

MC Jung Jae Hyung commented, “It’s a song with a high key, but JeA sang it in one key and Jo Kwan Woo [harmonized by going three keys higher]. I got goosebumps.”

g.o.d‘s Son Ho Young and Kim Tae Woo performed together on the December 15th ‘winter special with friends’ episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘.

The two “original” idols performed a cover of DJ DOC‘s “Winter Story“, showing their amazing harmonization and teamwork. Son Ho Young stated that he would win with his vocals, and it seems that his performance with Kim Tae Woo did not disappoint. Member Danny Ahn also made a surprise appearance on the episode though he wasn’t able to stand on stage.

B1A4‘s Baro and Sandeul teamed up with actress Kim Yoo Jung for a couple dance on the December 15th ‘winter special with friends’ episode of ‘Immortal Song 2‘.

The idol group and actress performed their rendition of Turbo‘s “At the Ski Resort / White Love“. The performance started off with a solo by Sandeul, and Kim Yoo Jung appeared during the second verse. Kim Yoo Jung then appeared to sing and the trio showed the audience an adorable couple dance and skit.

Footage of MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon during his younger days was revealed on the December 15th episode of ‘We Got Married 4‘.

Lee Joon’s mother, Son Bang Na, brought along video of her beloved son’s childhood when she made her first visit to Lee Joon and Oh Yeon Seo‘s newlywed home.

Song Bang Na stated, “I’ve recorded all the video taken when he was young and saved them in tapes. I wanted to show you, so I brought them along.” Oh Yeon Seo responded, “So cool. How did you think of something like this?”

Lee Joon’s mom answered, “I think I do a lot of cool things,” causing laughter with her self-praise.

The footage showed Lee Joon singing in kindergarten, practicing Taekwondo, and having a snowball fight with his dad.

On the December 15th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Entertainment Relay‘, the Brown Eyed Girls appeared on the show’s ‘guerilla date’ segment. Ga In was asked if there was any footage or clip of herself she wished could be deleted forever. She and her members hesitated answering at first, simply smiling instead.

Ga In finally answered, “I want to erase everything before I turned 22 years old,” surprising everyone. The members then quipped, “So if you’re reborn, do you want to be reborn as a 22-year-old?”

On her trendsetting eyeliner, she commented, “[Eyeliner] is to me what eyeglasses are to Pororo.”

BTOB perform at ‘Thai Supermodel Contest 2012′

BTOB made a special appearance at the ‘Thai Supermodel Contest 2012‘.

The event was held on the 13th at the Bangkok Convention Center, and BTOB were the first Korean artists to receive an invite to perform. The boys sang their hit songs “Secret“, “Born to Beat“, “Wow“, and more, even adding some ad-libs in Thai as fan service.

After the program was aired on television, the group is reported to have received endless offers to rebroadcast their performance, which was viewed by over 1000 audience members on scene.

BTOB’s Peniel commented, “It’s an honor to be the first Korean singers to be invited to the Thai Supermodel concert.” BTOB are reported to have been met with a crowd of over 500 fans when they landed in Thailand for the first time. They were introduced as, “The new K-pop rookies with great talent,” and met up with over 70 media outlets at a press conference.

After meeting their Thai fans for the first time, BTOB returned to Korea on the 15th. They’re currently preparing for the year-end concert, ‘United Cube‘.

Kim Ha Neul reveals who manages her money + what she wants to receive for proposal on ‘Entertainment Relay’

Actress Kim Ha Neul revealed that she has over three bank accounts under her name.

On the December 15th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Entertainment Relay‘, Kim Ha Neul mentioned, “My parents manage [my money, so I'm not sure], but I think I have more than three bank accounts.”

She also shared that the ‘Gentlemen’s Class‘ scene that left an impression on her the most was the one in which co-star Jang Dong Gun, proposed by asking, “Can’t you like me a little?”

Though her character in the drama receives shoes during the proposal, Kim Ha Neul expressed that she personally would like to be more traditional and accept a ring instead.

He tweeted on the 15th, “Seriously, who is doing this. Bold enough to send my dad prank text messages and to lie and say that you’re my classmate from elementary school. You’re daring, [aren't you].”

‘Laws of the Jungle W’ beats out ‘Birth of A Great Star 3′ for the #1 spot in its timeslot

SBS‘ ‘Laws of the Jungle W‘ recently grabbed the #1 spot in viewer ratings for its time slot.

According to AGB Nielson Media Research on the 15th, the December 14th broadcast of ‘Laws of the Jungle W’ achieved a 9.8% viewer rating, increasing 0.7% in ratings since its previous episode and beating out KBS 2TV‘s ‘VJ Special Forces‘ and MBC‘s ‘Birth of A Great Star 3‘.

‘Laws of the Jungle W’ premiered with a 10.2% viewer rating last month. Meanwhile, ‘VJ Show’ and ‘Birth of A Great Star 3′ garnered 9.2% and 8.9% in viewer ratings, respectively. There’s been a yo-yo effect with similar viewer ratings for the competing programs, so it will be interesting to see who ranks #1 next week!

‘IRIS 2′ cast spotted filming in Cambodia

The highly anticipated action drama, KBS 2TV‘s ‘IRIS 2‘, has been making trips around the world for its filming. The staff and cast were recently spotted filming in Hungary and now Cambodia.

YTree Media stated on the 15th that ‘IRIS 2′ is the first Korean production to film in Angkor Wat, Cambodia, and it’s also the first production internationally to film in this cultural mecca following the Hollywood blockbuster film, ‘Tomb Raider‘. The YTree representative revealed, “The filming of the helicopter scenes in particular capture Cambodia’s picturesque nature and exotic scenery [as the camera captured] Lee Bum Soo and Doojoon‘s chase and fight scenes in Cambodia’s hot spots.”

‘IRIS 2′ will premiere on February 13th following ‘Jeon Woo Chi‘.

Son Ho Young and Kim Tae Woo to collaborate on ‘Immortal Song 2′

g.o.d. members Son Ho Young and Kim Tae Woo will be showing off their teamwork on the next episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘.

The episode will be featuring a ‘winter special with friends’ edition. Son Ho Young invited fellow g.o.d Kim Tae Woo to perform alongside him. g.o.d. have been in the spotlight often lately ever since their grand reunion on ‘Yoon Kye Sang’s One Table‘, and although fans have seen the members interact often on variety shows, this will be one of the rare times they get to see them sing on stage together.

The duo will be rearranging DJ DOC‘s winter classic, “Winter Story“, for a fun and exciting stage. They didn’t let their long hiatus apart get to them and showed exceptional teamwork once they hit the recording booth, causing staff to comment, “They have the best teamwork ever,” and “The harmony of g.o.d.’s two vocalists is amazing.”

Actor Kwon Hyun Sang and C-CLOWN exchanged encouraging messages on Twitter, revealing their friendship.

Kwon Hyun Sang tweeted on the 14th, “C-CLOWN rise!!!!! Kangjun fighting,” along with a photo of his signed C-CLOWN album addressed, “To. Kwon Hyun Sang hyung nim.”

Member Kangjun then retweeted the actor and wrote, “Wow, Hyun Sang hyung nim~ㅠㅠ Yes!!! I’ve gained strength from hyung nim’s support and will fight more from now on!! Thank you so much! I hope that hyung nim’s film ‘Tower‘ becomes a huge success!!” Rome also tweeted, “Wow! How are you, Kwon Sang hyung min! Thank you! We will work harder :). Yedang Entertainment stated, “Kwon Hyun Sang and C-CLOWN became friends after filming the drama version of the MV for [C-CLOWN's] latest title track, ‘Far Away‘. C-CLOWN were preparing for a fan sign meeting and became so happy upon seeing Kwon Hyun Sang’s message. All the members started the fan meeting with thankful and happy hearts.”

Actor Lee Kwang Soo of SBS‘ ‘Running Man‘ was recently captured in a hilarious ‘Running Man 15 character collage’, which has quickly received attention.

Lee Kwang Soo made his variety show debut as an original member of ‘Running Man’ back in July of 2010. His iconic “scaredy-cat” image as well as tall height and fragile frame have given viewers a lot of laughs. In the past two years, he has transformed numerous times into hilarious characters, including “Kwang Vatar” and “Betrayal Giraffe” just to name a few, and the collage shows his character portrayals.

He also surprised viewers with his short-lived romances on the show with Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri and actress Gong Hyo Jin. Lee Kwang Soo is known to get teased by the other members including ‘Sparta Kim Jong Kook‘, which further adds to his lovable image.

CNBLUE‘s Minhyuk revealed his dating style.

On the December 14th episode of SBS‘ ‘Go Show‘, Minhyuk explained a rumor that claimed, “If you date Minhyuk, the woman becomes so tired that she leaves.” He argued, “Naturally when I date, I’m on fire, but the girl becomes tired because of it,” revealing his overbearing dating style.

Fellow member Yonghwa gave his view on Minhyuk’s dating style, revealing, “When it comes to his dating style, Minhyuk prepares a lot of surprise events and is the type to plan and arrange where they’ll go. He is also the type to set the budget [for dates].” Jungshin also chimed in, “Either way you look at it, he is too much of a planner.”

Minhyuk responded, “I’m not that bad, but if it’s necessary that it’s a day I need to prepare a surprise, I’m sincere about it.”

He then opened up about a previous dating experience and shared, “During my school days, I didn’t have money, so I saved up money and went to an amusement park [with her]. The amusement park was expensive, and I didn’t have money, so I asked my mom how I could go there for cheaper. She gave me a coupon and I used the coupon to [hang out] there, went biking along the Han River, and even took a taxi. I found out that taxis are usually expensive, but become cheaper during commuting hours. I went biking along the Han river until then and waited until rush hour to get a taxi and had dinner at the 63 building,” making viewers envious about the dream date.

He continued, “It only cost 110,000 won (~$100). My girlfriend really liked it. Then while I was taking her home, she was in pain. She was so tired. She didn’t express her tiredness, so I wasn’t aware of it, but she texted me, ‘I was tired’,” revealing the pros and cons of his frugal dating style.

Singer Ivy to join ‘Immortal Song 2′

Singer Ivy will be joining the lineup on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘.

PD Go Min Goo of the show confirmed, “Starting from the December 17th filming of the ‘March of Youth’ special, Ivy will enter as a fixed member. Ivy will sing Won Joon Hee‘s ‘Love Is Like Glass‘ for her first performance.”

He continued, “On the December 10th filming of the ‘Uhm Jung Hwa Special’, [Ivy] sang Uhm Jung Hwa’s ‘Invitation‘ and captivated the audience and original singer alike with her sexy and exotic performance. Having Ivy as a part of the lineup will freshen viewers’ interest for the 2013 ‘Immortal Song’. Please look forward to the female vocalists of ‘Immortal Song 2′.”

‘Birth of A Great Star 2′ finalist Eric Nam to make his debut early next year

Birth of A Great Star 2‘ finalist Eric Nam will be making his official debut early next year!

B2M Entertainment confirmed on the 14th, “Eric Nam is planned to debut in January or February of the coming year. He is currently receiving offers for various songs and busy recording. To show his colors as a rookie artist, we plan to make music that will bring him closer to the public,” further increasing the anticipation for his debut.

The agency added that the concept for Eric Nam’s debut album has yet to be decided, but his first release will likely be a single or mini-album.

Eric Nam received praise for his handsome, boy-next-door image and solid singing ability on ‘Birth of A Great Star 2′. He recently signed with B2M Entertainment this past September.
