MBC Drama Missing You has been green-lighted as national drama looking at the attention given by viewers and netizens on official website and various online communities, SNS etc. Hence the popular term "Bog-Day which carries the meaning of "Bogoshipda Day" has been coined
The drama has seen a steady rise of viewership especially on 12th December, which was 11.7% based on AGB Nielsen ratings report, making it the number 1 drama on the Wednesday-Thursday slot.

JYJ Kim Junsu made a surprise announcement with a single 'Thank U for'
C-jes entertainment, responsible for Kim Junsu's management, announced on the 20th that the digital single will be released on the 24th.
Kim Junsu's digital song 'Thank U for' produced by a Japanese composer depicts a sweet love song that fits the winter mood strongly.
C-jes official said, "This single is prepared as a surprise gift that will be included in Kim Junsu's ballad concert which consists of musical and drama OST."
C-jes also said, "Thank U for is a gift for fans and it is a love letter of a man showing sweet love to his girlfriend."

Seungri's "What Can I Do" has become the ending song for TV Asahi show, 'Ima chan no Jitsu wa' from Dec 5.
This TV program is an educational variety show that reveals facts about the world that are generally not known. "Ima-chan" refers to the host of this show, Imada Kouji, who is a famous comedian and host in Japan. The term "jitsu wa…" can be roughly translated to "in actual fact…". Since Imada is a comedian, the show is educational but in a humorous way gaining many fans and has allowed it to continue airing since its debut in 2008.

Singer IU is being considered for the upcoming KBS weekend series 'The Best In Soon Shin', which will air after the series 'My Daughter Seo Young' goes off the air.
A representative from Loen Entertainment revealed, "The series is one of the others that we are considering as IU's next job. She has been receiving casting offers from a number of different dramas, but she did not decide on anything yet."
'The Best In Soon Shin' is about a girl named In Soon Shin, who is from an island and goes to Seoul to become a star with an entrepreneur's help. The series is set to air in April of next year.

T-ara will be holding a large scale fan meeting in Japan.
According to their agency Core Contents Media on the 21st, T-ara will fly to Japan on December 24 and hold large-scale fan meetings in Tokyo and Osaka until December 28.
As this will mark T-ara's first official large fan meeting in Japan, the group have prepared a variety of events and hit songs to perform for their fans. T-ara is also set to embark on n Japanese arena tour early next year.
After the fan meetings, T-ara will head directly back to Korea for the end of the year music programs in Korea.

Former T-ara member Hwayoung is currently in discussion on joining a new agency to pursue her acting career.
According to entertainment industry insiders, Hwayoung has met with MS Entertainment and is said to be in positive discussions to join the agency.
If Hwayoung signs a contract with MS Team, she will most likely debut as an actress rather than continuing her path of a musician because the firm has so far only signed on actresses such as Son Ye Jin, Lee Min Jung and Moon Chae Won.

Brown Eyed Soul's vocalist Naul and actress Han Hye Jin have broken up, bringing an end to their nine-year relationship.
A representative from Han Hye Jin's agency revealed on December 21, "It is true that Han Hye Jin and Naul have broken up. However, as it is their personal lives, we cannot reveal the details or exactly when they broke up."
The rep added, Because it was hard for them to meet even once in a month because of their busy schedules, we believe they just naturally grew apart. Since Han Hye Jin and Naul are the ones who are suffering the most, please give them your support."
Naul's agency also confirmed the breakup and revealed, "Naul avoided revealing when they broke up, but he seems quite okay now. He finished recording his radio program today as usual."

On December 21, Brown Eyed Girls' official Twitter page announced JeA's solo album release date and uploaded a teaser photo, heightening fans' anticipation. JeA was originally planning on releasing her solo album this month, but it has been delayed to January 4th.

A picture of JYJ's Jaejoong working hard in the recording studio to prepare for his upcoming first solo album has been revealed.
JYJ's official Facebook page uploaded the photo above and wrote, "Are you guys excited about Jaejoong's first solo mini-album? Here is a picture for you!! And one more thing you need to know is… we are going to upload Jaejoong's surprise video next week! ^^"
As previously reported, Jaejoong will be releasing his first solo mini album in January. The album enlisted the help of Kim Ba Da of the legendary rock band, Sinawe, and will contain various rock genre songs.

KARA's Park Gyuri recently unveiled teaser photos of her solo debut stage, showing her transformation into a sexy tango dancer.

Rookie girl group GLAM signaled their comeback to the local music scene with a teaser image released on their official Facebook and Twitter account.
The group's agency announced the group wiild be making its return and released teaser images of members Zinni and Dahee. GLAM seems to be taking the same music route, as the two girls decked out in their hip hop gears, showing their charismatic aura.

On December 21, Big Mama unveiled the music video teaser for their goodbye single, "Cleaning Drawers". The song, which was produced by Jung Seok Won and Yoon Jong Shin, sings about a woman who struggles after parting ways with her loved one.

Having already released individual teaser videos, Brown Eyed Girls have now released a special "L.O.V.E" remix teaser for their upcoming 19+ rated solo concert.
Titled 'Tonight 37.2 C', the concert is scheduled for December 24-25th at the Central City Millennium Hall in Seoul. It is a 19+ rated concert so no minors will be admitted in. This makes them the first girl group to hold such a show.

Beast member Yang Yoseob's fan club is working on a heartwarming donation project.
They gathered together to celebrate the release of Yoseob's first solo album and his upcoming birthday (2013 Jan 05). They did a funding project through the website Incujector.
On December 20th, Yoseob's fan club including 48 members donated over 1.06 million won. All of the funds are currently planned to go to Cafe Moa which works on behalf of the visually impaired.
The fan club donated to a non-profit three years ago and also donated 100 kg of rice to celebrate Yoseob's album just released in November and received so much appreciation for their warm hearts.

Big Bang's member G-Dragon uploaded pictures of his fellow member Taeyang spending some time with his pet.
On December 2, G-Dragon uploaded some pictures of Taeyang and his pet, Jolie on his twitter with the words, "Give it to her".

Rookie girl group LAY-T received criticisms on various community boasrd because of their unsuitable performance that took place in a temple of Korea.
The photos of LAY-T were taken during the Mt. Chungkyesan music festival that took place at the Buddhist ceremony. The group members wore absolutely short skirts and their dance steps were also too sexy, which were considered as lack of consideration.
Some netizens criticized Lay-T for not aware of the culture, wearing such exposing costumes were totally offensive. However there were also some good responses stating that the temple is entirely a possible location to celebrate cultural events like music, art performance, include performances of the idol groups.
LAY-T is a rookie group debuting in 2012 with TISCO music style (trot + disco) and released their first album titled Lay.T.

It has been revealed that rookie group A.Cian has been involved in a car accident on December 16th.
According to an ISS Entertainment, the group was on its way from Busan to Seoul when it was hit by metal pipes from a truck in front of it. The pipes eventually hit the front view window, causing an accident.
The members were immediately taken to a hospital in Seoul and and underwent the appropriate examinations. But despite muscle pains, the group was discharged on December 18 to take part in MBC Music's 'All the K-Pop' recording on the following day.
A representative stated, "We will make sure to monitor the members' health and we'll modify our schedule to make sure they get the treatment they need for recovery."

An representative announced on December 20, "Sooyoung has been chosen as the host for the SBS Entertainment Awards." The award ceremony will be held on December 30.

Teen Top will be holding a 5-city European tour starting next year!
On December 20, their agency, TOP Media, announced, "In 2013, Teen Top will meet their fans at the 'TEEN TOP SHOW! Live tour in Europe 2013' starting in Munich, Germany on February 2. From then until February 10, they will be traveling to Dortmund, England, France and Spain."
Teen Top will perform at famous venues, where popular artists, including Rihanna, have performed in the past.
The group was previously featured in a famous French TV show, 'Le Grand Journal', back in February. The show introduced Teen Top as, "a very talented and young Korean group who have great potential of success in France", and they have been getting a great number of concert requests from the region.

JYJ's Park Yoochun became the new spokesperson for special project created to help the visually impaired.
On December 20, Standard Charter Bank announced that Yoochun has been chosen as the model and ambassador for the 'Kind Library Project' campaign to benefit the visually impaired.
Yoochun has recorded instructions for those who want to share their voice in the project. He will be calling the volunteers himself to instructs them how to take part in a competition that allows the participants to attend an invitation-only event to take place at Coex on January 19.
At next year's festival, those in attendance will be given the opportunity to take part in producing audio books along with Yoochun for the blind.
Yoochun said, "I like that it is very easy for anyone with a warm heart to participate in the 'Kind Library Project.' I hope this can be a good experience so the visually impaired can also enjoy movies and books."
