Park Yoochun won the Excellence Award for Male Actors in a Miniseries.

The '2012 MBC Drama Awards' ceremony was held at the MBC Open Hall on the 30th, led by Actor Kim Jae Won and Singer Son Dambi.

Park Yoochun won the 'Excellence Award' for his role in 'I Miss You' and stated, "My family is here with me right now, and I'm grateful to have them here. We're still in the process of filming for the drama, so please give us your love till the very end," and "So many things have happened this year, and I'm happy to be ending the year with such a great award. I will work harder than ever before from now on."

Kim Jaejoong, who announced the winner of the Excellence Award, described the winner as "An actor I really like," before stating Park Yoochun's name.

Park Yoochun plays the role of Han Jung Woo in 'I Miss You' and is receiving high praise for his acting.

JYJ's Yoochun was awarded the Outstanding Actor Award under the drama special category at the "SBS Drama Awards".

Yoochun received the Outstanding Actor Award under the drama special category during the "2012 SBS Drama Awards", which was held at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, at 8.50pm on 31 Dec.

During his acceptance speech, Yoochun said, "There were many interesting happenings during the filming of "Rooftop Prince". I am really happy to receive this award." He also said, "I would like to to dedicate this award to my father who is watching over (me) from heaven."

Girls’ Generation to appear on ‘Radio Star’

The beautiful ladies of Girls' Generation, who recently made a comeback with "I Got A Boy", will be featuring as guests on an upcoming episode of MBC's 'Radio Star'!

According to the show's producers, all nine of the Girls' Generation members participated in the talk show's recording on January 2 which took place at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan.

On the show, Girls' Generation introduced their comeback album, 'I Got A Boy' as well as talked about their love and personal lives with Radio Star's male MCs. While Tiffany, Taeyeon and Jessica previously appeared on the show, this is the first time that all nine members will be featured together.

The episode is expected to air in the coming weeks.

B2ST’s comic series to be released in Asian countries

B2ST's popular comic series will begin selling throughout Asia.

The production company behind B2ST's hit comic series, 'The Beast', announced that the series would soon be sold in various countries in Asia. The first volume of the series will be published in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore and Malaysia in the local languages on January 30.

The producers added that distributors in China, Japan and even Brazil were showing interest in the series as well.

A representative of the publishing company stated, "The comic book 'The Beast' combines action, comedy, and romance. It mixes an intriguing storyline and the popularity of B2ST."

Penned by writers Kim Hye Jin and Kim Hak Book, 'The BEAST' is an action-fantasy series depicting the friendship and adventures of B2ST members as superheroes. The group will be releasing its second volume 'Another BEAST' on January 16th.

Fans donate in JYJ Junsu’s name

Following the trend of helping their favorite k-pop star shine via good deeds, international fans of JYJ's Junsu donated many necessities to support the singer's concert.

Fans from Japan, Malaysia, Kuwait, and Peru reportedly donated about 2,000 coal briquettes, 6,000 eggs, and 910 kgs of rice to support Junsu's '2012 XIA Ballad & Music Concert With Orchestra' held at the Seoul Samsung COEX D-Hall from December 29-31st.

The briquettes will go to help the elderly living along, stay warm in the winter, the eggs will go to a national food bank, and the rice will help feed starving children and others in need.

Towards the conclusion of the music video, a brief preview of the group's comeback title song, "I Got A Boy" is played while showing each of the members. At Sunny's part, she can be seen wearing a rebellious cap with the words, "WELCOME MOTHERF★CKERS".

Many netizens have been expressing their discomfort and criticism saying, "Since Girls' Generation has many young and teenage fans, they should consider things like this more carefully."

Actress Jeon Ji Hyun will be showing off her mysterious charm in the upcoming movie 'The Berlin File' as a beautiful interpreter.

Jeon Ji Hyun will be acting with Ha Jung Woo, Han Seok Gyu and Ryu Seung Bum in director Ryu Seung Wan's new movie 'The Berlin File'. The movie is expected to be a great fun, following 'The Thieves,' the best box office hit of 2012.

In the released movie stills, Jeon Ji Hyun appears in character as North Korean government interpreter Ryeon Jung Hee, wife of secret service agent Pyo Jong Sung (Ha Jung Woo). Super Junior-M will soon resume activities with the release of their second studio album 'Break Down'. To commemorate the release, the unit will be holding a press conference and they are inviting the fans to join them.

On January 3, SM Town's official Youtube channel uploaded new video featuring Super Junior-M's Ryeowook and Kyuhyun inviting fans to the upcoming press conference for the group's new album 'Break Down' on January 7th, 2013 in Beijing, China.

On January 3, the nine talented ladies of Girls' Generation hit the stage of 'M! Countdown' and kicked off an explosive comeback performance of their latest title track "I Got A Boy" as well as the pre-released track, "Dancing Queen."

"I Hate It" is about a person who hates herself for not being able to hold back the person she loves from leaving. Baek Jiyoung collaborated with renowned pianist Yiruma and composer 2FACE for the track, helping the singer to further present her great musicality.

Prior to their military enlistment, power duo December released their 2nd full-length album titled 'The Last Legacy' featuring the title track "Don't Go". On January 3, the duo held their first comeback performance on 'M! Countdown'.

"Don't Go" was co-written by Cho Young Soo and a rookie lyricist, JUNE. Known for their pop and ballad styles, December once again gained much attention with their sharp and refined vocals.

Singer Hong Jong Myung passes away

Sad news in the entertainment realm. Solo singer Hong Jong Myung passed away at the age of 46.

The singer, popular for his many OST songs, died from brain hemorrhage complications. Some of his most popular soundtrack songs were from hit dramas like 'Beautiful Her' in 1997 starring Lee Byung Hun and 'Happy Together' in 1999 starring Lee Byung Hun and Jeon Ji Hyun. The song "Loving Only Once" was especially popular, which served as the main theme song for the drama starring Bae Yong Joon and Go So Young in 1998, 'Barefoot Romance'.

The singer released several solo albums to his name, with the most recent one having been 'Restart' in 2009. He also worked as a professor at the Seoul University of the Arts.

G-Dragon’s fans donate to charity

Big Bang member G-Dragon's fan club expressed their love for their idol by participating in the 10,000 Won Miracle charity project.

On January 1, Sean posted on his Twitter, "The people who participated in 10,000 Won Miracle on January 1, 2013. The 91st participant, G-Dragon's fan club Always GD, made a donation to help build a children's rehabilitation hospital.

He added, "It's so wonderful to see their love extended toward children suffering from disabilities. Thank you so much, G-Dragon's fans from Always GD. Happy New Year."

G-Dragon's fans had donated a total of 10.9 million won ($10,300) to the 10,000 Won Miracle Project, a campaign to help build a children's rehabilitation hospital. The idol himself had already donated a total of 7.3 million won with two previous donations of 3.6 million won each.

The much anticipated drama 'The Writings of Nine Houses' starring Lee Seung Gi and miss A's Suzy was confirmed by MBC to take over 'The Horse Healer's time slot once it concludes its 50-episode run.

'The Writings of Nine Houses' is the co-production of PD Shin Woo Chul of 'Secret Garden' and 'Gentlemen's Class' and writer Kang Eun Kyung of 'Baker King Kim Tak Gu'. It is martial arts series about Choi Kang Chi, a half man and half beast who struggles to make a full transformation into a human.

In the role of Choi Kang Chi is Lee Seung Gi and his opposing female role will be played by Suzy who starred in the movie 'Architecture 101' and drama 'Big.'
