Song Joong Ki becomes the next CF king

Actor Song Joong Ki is on his way to being crowned the next CF king.

Blossom Entertainment revealed that Song Joong Ki recently signed an advertisement contract with a water purifier brand. With this, he has over 10 different endorsement deals under his belt.

The actor is the face of a diverse range of products, from Maxim Coffee, fast food chain Lotteria, cosmetics brand Laneige Homme, Samsung's Galaxy Pop and Samsonite and more. The fact that Song Joong Ki is appearing on over 10 advertisements means that he is being loved by people from different generations equally.

A representative explained, "Song Joong Ki is one of the few actors who appeals to both sexes, making him all the more desirable as a CF model. He also showed different sides of him in his works, which, in other words, means that he has no limits in transformation."

Jo Kwon to make musical debut in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’

In addition to casting in the new KBS drama, 2AM's Jo Kwon will be making his musical debut in 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.

A representative stated, "Jo Kwon will be casting in 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. It's been a while since he decided his casting, but the rehearsal did not start yet. He will be making a new debut as a musical actor."

'Jesus Christ Superstar' is one of the most famous works by Andrew Lloyd Weber, and it was first presented back in 1971. Jo Kwon will play the role of Herod, who keeps focusing on seeking his own pleasure, and ignorant about citizens' well-being.

The musical will premiere on April 26th at the Charlotte Theater in Jamsil, Seoul.

FT Island dominated the DVD charts in Taiwan and Japan with a concert DVD for its concert in Korea.

The group's concert DVD '2012 TAKE FTISLAND IN SEOUL' topped Taiwan's 'G-Music' audio and video charts as well as 5 Music's weekly chart. The same DVD also managed to top various charts in Japan, proving their popularity.

'2012 TAKE FTISLAND IN SEOUL' concert DVD includes highlights from FT Island's concert in Seoul that took place from September 1-2, 2012.

Meanwhile, the group will be releasing its 10th Japanese single album 'You Are My Life' on March 27.

Three X-5 members to debut as part of new group LU:KUS

Former members of X-5 will be re-debuting as part of upcoming idol group LU:KUS (pronounced "look us") .

X-5's J.One (Haewon), Donghyun and maknae Jinwan left their previous agency Open World Entertainment last year after the CEO has been charged with rape and sexual harrassment. They signed with Box Media and will soon return to stage as part of five-member idol group, LU:KUS.

Along with the three members from X-5, LU:KUS includes member Kyungjin and Choi (Seokhoon), who has experience promoting as a soloist. The group will be making their debut next month. More information and teasers are expected to be revealed on the later date.

Tickets to CNBLUE's upcoming Hong Kong concert have sold out within minutes.

It took only five minutes for the idol band to sell out the entire 7,000 tickets for the '2013 Blue Moon CNBLUE World Tour' after they were made available on March 10. Fans have also been inquiring about the concerts to be held in Taiwan and Thailand.

CNBLUE's '2013 Blue Moon CNBLUE World Tour' will begin in Taiwan on April 6 before moving onto Singapore on April 13th, Thailand on May 4th and Hong Kong on May 11.

DMTN’s Daniel arrested for smoking and selling marijuana

An arrest warrant has been filed against DMTN's Daniel for dealing and smoking weed.

According to several local news outlets, Daniel is suspected of drug abuse and trafficking, and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency filed a warrant of arrest on the 8th. The report states that the idol smoked marijuana several times with his friends from September to December last year.

On March 12th, DMTN's agency stated, "The situation is very complex that the informations reported are different. A detailed explanation will be announced later on."

‘Show! Music Core’ to revive ranking system

According to the broadcasting company, 'Show! Music Core' has decided to revive the ranking system starting from the broadcast on the first week of April. It has been seven years since the show abolished its ranking service in 2006.

Recently, SBS 'Inkigayo' also decided to bring back the ranking segment for the music program after cancelling it last July 2012.

Meanwhile, KBS' 'Music Bank' has never canceled their ranking service.

One Nation Emcees join the string of Malaysian artists
Kuala Lumpur, 11 March 2013 – Twin Towers @Live 2013 set to be held during the weekend of
22 and 23 March 2013 at the base of the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers, today announced KPop megastars 2NE1 as the newest addition to the concert line up for Saturday, 23 March 

This is the quartet's very first performance in Malaysia, since their formation in 2009. Made up 
of CL, Minzy, Dara and Bom, the group's name 2NE1 is a combination of the phrases "21st
century" and "new evolution". The group first surfaced in LG Electronics commercial 
campaign, "Lollipop" alongside another K-Pop sensation Big Bang. They subsequently
