G-Dragon kicks off Japanese leg of his world tour

Big Bang's G-Dragon successfully kicked off the overseas phase of his world tour.

After finishing Seoul concerts on March 30th and 31st, G-Dragon went to Fukuoka to start the Japan leg of his 'One of a Kind' tour. Though it was even hard to stand still in the rain and harsh winds, a great number of fans formed long lines in front of the venue.

A car chase scene was played prior to G-Dragon's appearance, and G-Dragon appeared on the stage in a translucent glass car. After fully showing himself on stage, he opened up the show by his new song, "MichiGO".

In addition, he sang "Heart Breaker", "One of a Kind", "Missing You" and many more. Also, Taeyang from Big Bang had appeared to support his stage and showed powerful performances.

Embarking on his first solo world tour, G-Dragon is planning to visit 13 cities across 8 countries and hold 26 concerts through the end of June. He is also set to appear in Psy's 'Happening' concert to be held on April 13th.

JYJ’s Jaejoong holds successful fan meeting in Nanjing

JYJ's Kim Jaejoong has proven his hot popularity all over Asia.

Kim Jaejoong has started his Asia tour concert 'Your, My, Mine tour' in Seoul last January and continued with successful shows in Thailand, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Having just finished his Tokyo dome concert with the other JYJ members, he flew over to Nanjing, China and held a fan meet with nearly 4,000.

Jaejoong's fan meeting, which took place in Nanjng Olympic Sports Center on April 6, was comprised of a mini-talk, quiz show, speed quiz program and more. He even put on an apron to make a Korean snack for the fans.

As the mini concert officially began, Jaejoong transformed into a charismatic rocker. He opened up the stage with "One Kiss", and went on to perform hits like "I Loved You", "For You" and "Always For You".

On April 13, Jaejoong will be performing in Taiwan.

Lee Seung Gi reveals the other side of Suzy

Actor Lee Seung Gi recently talked about the "bad side" of Suzy and highly complimented her for her powerful kicks!

On April 7th, miss A's Suzy and Lee Seng Gi, who both starring in new drama 'Gu Family Book', appeared on MBC 'Section TV' and discussed their work together on an action scene.

During the interview, Lee Seung Gi revealed, "We were afraid about Suzy's action because we didn't have much time to prepare."

He added, "People usually try to make their kicks look as fancy as possible in the camera. But, Suzy's kick is a serious one. She kicks to beat her opponent down. We were all surprised."

Cracked up in embarrassment, Suzy agreed and explained, "My father is a Taekwondo instructor so I learned a little from him."

IU to work with legendary singer Choi Baek Ho for comeback

It has been revealed that IU will be working with legendary singer Choi Baek Ho for her upcoming comeback.

IU previously hinted at her local comeback amidst busy schedule on Japanese promotions and KBS 2TV drama, 'You're the Best Lee Soon Shin'. She will be working with well-respected singer Choi Baek Ho as he features in one of her songs. This song was written by guitarist Park Joo Won and will reveal a different side to IU.

A representative of IU revealed, "Since we are still in the preparation stages of the album, it hasn't been decided how this song will be used in the album. More details will be revealed soon but we sure that the song will be included."

15&’s “Somebody” dominates all the music charts

Rookie duo group 15& scored success in the music charts with latest single, "Somebody".

Released on April 7th, 15&'s "Somebody" made a strong debut at the No.1 spot on Korea's major online music distribution websites such as Melon, Bugs, Soribada, Naver Music, Olleh Music, achieving an all-kill on the charts.

"Somebody" has been the talk of the town with its catchy and simple melodies, lyrics and rhythm. The track is written by Shim Eunji who also wrote 15&'s debut single "I Dream", and is co-composed by Ryan S. Jhun and Antwann Frost.

It has been revealed that the tvN's 'Flower Boy Ramen Shop' co-stars, actor Lee Ki Woo and actress Lee Chung Ah are in a relationship!

According Lee Chung Ah's agency King Kong Entertainment, "They have begun dating since early this year. They developed into a relationship after starring in tvN's 'Flower Boy Ramen Shop'. Both Lee Ki Woo and Lee Chung Ah are also members in the ski team A11 and through their activities together, they became more than friends."

Lee Chung Ah debuted with the 2002 movie 'Resurrection of the Little Match Girl' and continued onto movies, 'Temptation of Wolves", 'My Tutor Friend Lesson II" and is starring in the new SBS drama 'Wonderful Mama'. Lee Ki Woo debuted with the 2003 movie 'The Classic' and is now in the OCN series, 'The Virus'.

CNBLUE enchants 11,000 fans in Taiwan

CNBLUE finally opened the curtains for their world tour with a successful first show in Taiwan!

On April 6th, the idol band started their '2013 World Tour – Blue Moon' at the Taipei Arena in Taipei, Taiwan and enchanted 11,000 audiences with passionate live concert.

The tickets for the show in Taiwan were all sold much earlier, proving the group's rising popularity in the country. In addition, the press conference held on the day before the concert were covered by a number of local medias.

During the show, CNBLUE heated up the arena by performing songs from their 'Re:BLUE' album as well as previous hits, including "I'm Sorry", "Coffee Shop", "More Than You", "Me", "LaLaLa", "Where You Are", "Have A Good Night", "Tattoo" and "In My Head". The audiences also enjoyed the concert by singing along the hit songs "Intuition", "I'm A Loner" and "LOVE".

Furthermore, a great number of Taiwanese celebrities and entertainers attended the show, further indicating CNBLUE's huge popularity and influence in the region.

CNBLUE will continue their world tour show on April 13th in Singapore.

Sunye to make a comeback as Wonder Girls next year?

Wonder Girls' Sunye will likely resume her entertainer career late next year.

During April 6th broadcast of KBS 2TV 'Entertainment Weekly', an interview with Sunye's uncle Min Won Ki was revealed. He shared about the singer's recently announced pregnancy, saying, "She had a hard time at first because of morning sickness, but she is fine, now."

Regarding Sunye's future career, he revealed, "She told that it's not impossible to continue career after she give birth to her baby. Sunye will come back as early as the second half of next year

The five-member girl group went on hiatus after Sunye became the first in the group to marry, leading to speculation that Wonder Girls would disband. He cleared up rumors and said, "There will be no breakup of Wonder Girls."

2PM is preparing for a grand return and following their first teaser which was written in Morse code, the group has released another mysterious teaser video titled, 'Code #2'.

On April 8th, JYP Entertainment released new video containing the mysterious message: "Jabir_ibn_hayyan, Heinrich_khunrath, cornelius_agrippa" followed by a series of numbers: "3.6.1, 149.26.6, 23.12.1, 166.9.5, 78.23.11."

It is said that the aforementioned names are famous alchemists over the history of time, however the included numbers are still a mystery.

Rookie group 15& has just unveiled the full music video for "Somebody"!

Having already performed their first comeback stage on the season finale of 'K-Pop Star 2', 15& has now unveiled the awaited music video for "Somebody", parodying the popular SBS audition show.

In the music video, Baek Ye Rin and Park Ji Min transform as the three judges (BoA, Yang Hyun Suk and J.Y Park) while their mentor J.Y Park, made a special cameo appearance as a contestant of the audition.

"Somebody" is a track written by Shim Eunji who also wrote 15&'s debut single "I Dream", and is co-composed by Ryan S. Jhun and Antwann Frost.

Akdong Musician wins ‘K-Pop Star 2’

The teen duo Akdong Musician won the second season of SBS audition program, 'K-Pop Star 2'!

The duo Lee Chanhyuk (18) and his younger sister Soohyun (15) pushed back Bang Ye Dam on the final round of the show, which aired on April 7, and took the title as winner of 'K-Pop Star 2'. They won prize money of 300 million KRW and the opportunity to release an album with one of three major entertainment agencies in Korea; JYP, SM or YG.

After winning Lee Chan Hyuk stated, "I didn't know we would come this far because there were so many great people in the top 10. Thank you mother and father."

The Top 2 were asked to sing a song sung earlier in the season by other contestants. Akdong Musician took on the track "Mmmbob" for round 1 and "Warm Goodbye" for the second round, and received much praise from judges and audience.

2AM to become the 2nd idol group to host ‘SNL Korea’

Having recently concluded their 'One Spring Day' promotions, 2AM will be returning to your television screen as the hosts of tvN's 'Saturday Night Live Korea' (SNL Korea).

On April 13th, 2AM will be hosting 'SNL Korea' and will be the second idol group to do so since Super Junior hosted the live comedy program back in 2012. A representative stated, "The skit concepts to 2AM's episode is currently being planned but please look forward to the it."

Psy’s concert to be broadcasted live on Mnet

Mnet will be streaming Psy's concert live.

On April 13th, Psy will hold his anticipated 'HAPPENING' concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. In addition to being streamed live through Naver and Youtube, the concert will be broadcasted live through Mnet.

Mnet reveals that the project will be a large scale production and plans to use helicopters to effectively capture the happenings within the concert. The concert is expected to draw over 50,000 audience with over 3 billion won being used to produce it.

Mnet's Ahn So Yeon CP said, "We are expecting a great number of fans to gather at the concert. We are doing every preparation we can to transfer the same energy and heat to others."

Especially, Psy will be showcasing his new title track, "Gentleman", for the first time during the concert. Fellow artists G-Dragon and Lee Hi are also confirmed to perform at the event.

Baek Ji Young talks about marriage plans

Singer Baek Ji Young revealed that she currently has no plans to get married yet.

On the April 5th installment of SBS 'Thank You', Baek Ji Young appeared as guest and was asked about wedding plans with her boyfriend Jung Suk Won. The singer answered, "I don't have any plans yet."

She continued, "Jung Suk Won and I are looking at a bit different directions. I won't be able to wait forever, but for now, we don't have any plan to get married yet."

Baek Ji Young also discussed how her thoughts about marriage changed, "When I was in my early 20s, I wanted a fairytale-like love, and in my mid-20s, I wanted someone who can comfort me. In my early 30s, I wanted someone who can be a good companion of mine."

She added, "Right now, I'm looking for family. Someone who will forever be on my side. As I get older, marriage gets harder because I'm looking for someone who can be my family.

Back in February, a video of Ricky reading a book was uploaded on Teen Top's official website. Upset of being accused that the book was for image purposes only, he promised to write a book review of all the books that he read.

On April 4th, Ricky posted a book review on Teen Top's fancafe, "It's my first book review! Because I am a man of my words." He reviewed Guillaume Musso's novels 'A Mix-Up in Heaven', 'Lost and Found' as well as recommended them to the fans.

‘Infinity Challenge’ members to appear in Psy’s “Gentleman” MV

YG Entertainment recently confirmed that Psy has invited Yoo Jae Suk, Noh Hong Chul, HaHa and Brown Eyed Girls' Ga In to his new music video for his upcoming song "Gentleman". The agency further revealed that the cast of MBC's 'Infinity Challenge' has been recruited as well.

A representative announced, All seven members of 'Infinity Challenge' including Yoo Jae Suk, Noh Hong Chul, Park Myung Soo, Jung Junha, Jung Hyungdon, HaHa and Gil will feature in Psy's new music video. The filming will take place in spots throughout Seoul for three days starting April 7th.

Meanwhile, Psy's "Gentleman" will be first shown to the public at his concert 'HAPPENING'. It is expected to be big and various guests will be on stage to enjoy 50,000 fans at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

15& to hold guerilla concerts in Seoul

Celebrating their return, 15&'s Park Ji Min and Baek Ye Rin will be holding a series of guerilla concerts in Seoul.

According to JYP Entertainment, 15& will be having 4 guerrilla concerts at Han Rim Arts High School(12:30 PM), Seokang University (3 PM), Sejong University (5:30 PM) and Gangnam Station M Stage (8:00 PM).

During the guerrilla performances, Park Ji Min and Baek Ye Rin will be performing their latest single, "Somebody". Fans all over the world can also enjoy the shows as they will be streamed live through Ustream (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/geniemusic).

U-Kiss to debut first sub-unit uBeat this April

Idol group U-Kiss will be forming its first ever sub-unit!

The exciting news was announced through NH Media's official Twitter account on April 8th. The agency confirmed, "U-Kiss' AJ, Eli and Kevin to debut as a subunit called uBEAT at the end of this month."

According to their agency, uBEAT will release a mini album at the end of April which will contain two ~ three songs excluding the intro. The title song will be produced by hitmaker Brave Brothers who also worked with U-Kiss' hit song, "Man Man Ha Ni".
