Um Hyun Kyung reveals her gratitude towards Yoo Jae Suk

Posted: 14 Apr 2013 07:29 AM PDT

Actress Um Hyun Kyung shared her heartfelt gratitude towards ‘nation’s MC’ Yoo Jae Suk for not forgetting who she was.

The actress was often a guest on SBS’sX-Man‘ back in 2006, which had starred Yoo Jae Suk as a main MC.  The two got to know each other from the show and Um Hyun Kyung recently held an interview with MyDaily and said, “I recently ran into Yoo Jae Suk at MBC.”

What was really cool is that I appeared on ‘X-Man’ over 6 years ago but Yoo Jae Suk came straight up to me and asked, “Are you still nervous?’  At that time my nickname on the show was ‘nervous girl.’

She thought that she was just one of many guests passing through the show, so she was very honored and grateful that Yoo Jae Suk would still remember her.

She said, “Yoo Jae Suk said to me, ‘Don’t be nervous anymore.’  I was so surprised and thankful.  I thought to myself, ‘How does he still remember that?’  I realize now why people call him ‘Yoo god.’

Um Hyun Kyung appeared on the recently ended MBC drama ‘Horse Doctor‘ as scatterbrained So Ga Young.

Psy’s “Gentleman” MV amasses 10.7 Million views breaking Justin Bieber’s record for most Youtube views in a single day

Posted: 13 Apr 2013 10:07 PM PDT

We knew it was a possibility, but are still surprised at just how insanely fast Psy‘s music video for “Gentleman” has racked up the Youtube views.

In lightening speed, or rather, just 16 hours, “Gentleman” has already gained over 10.7 million views and counting. Shortly after reaching this milestone, Psy tweeted:

Psy now holds the record for most Youtube views in a single day, not just by a K-pop singer, but by any person, in the history of Youtube.  Former record holder Justin Bieber will have to settle for second place behind Psy, for the second time (he has the #2 most viewed video on Youtube). The young star’s music video for “Boyfriend“ received 8 Million views on the day of its release, a seemingly unbeatable record.

With 8 more hours left in its the first day of release, we are left wondering how many views will “Gentleman” end up with, 15 Million, 20 Million? What do you think will be the final view count for “Gentleman”s first day?

If you haven’t seen the music video yet, or want to laugh your butt off, be sure to check it out below.

Psy’s “Gentleman” earns a certified All-Kill + an astonishing 6.9 Million Youtube views in just 13 hours!

Posted: 13 Apr 2013 06:26 PM PDT

Psy‘s “Gentlemanis already on the road to glory with ~6.9 Million Youtube views in just 13 hours and a certified All-Kill.

Psy joins SISTAR19 and Leessang in achieving the Instiz Chart All-Kill recognition for 2013. An Instiz certified all-kill ("AK") occurs when an individual song sweeps all of South Korea's major music charts simultaneously placing first on both the real-time and daily charts.

Having thoroughly and completely owned the online music charts in Korea since its release, this All-Kill was almost inevitable.

That’s not all, the music video has racked up over 6.9 Million Youtube views in the past 13 hours, which is just simply astounding.

Psy now holds the record for most Youtube views in a single day for a K-pop singer. Second place goes to Girls’ Generation’s “I Got a Boy” which raked in 3.5 Million views on the day of its release. However, he will have to gather another 1.1+ million views in the next 12 hours to beat current record holder, Justin Bieber, whose music video for “Boyfriend“ received 8 Million views on the day of its release. Given the massive rate of views on his video, we don’t think that will be too difficult.

If you haven’t seen the music video yet, be sure to check it out below. Do you think Psy has a chance to earn the 1-Day Youtube record?

In anticipation of the hilarious quartet, ‘SNL Korea’ cast member Jay Park got fans to tune in for the broadcast tweeting,

2AM definitely didn’t disappoint with their hilarious parodies of the popular shows ‘K-Pop Star 2‘ and ‘Dad, Where Are We Going?‘. During their parody of ‘K-Pop Star 2′, Jinwoon took the role of judge J.Y. Park and gave over-the-top reactions to parody J.Y. Park’s memorable moments of bliss while watching contestants perform. Changmin came on stage as a contestant and pretended to be Akdong Musician, performing his parody of “You Are Attractive” entitled “You Are Wealthy“. J0 Kwon also featured as a contestant and performed a sexy pole dance.

The boys continued the laughter with a parody of the breakout show of the year ‘Dad ,Where Are We Going?’. The skit imagined how the children, Jia (Jo Kwon), Minguk (Seulong), Junsu (Jinwoon), and Yoon Hoo (Changmin), would interact 15 years from now. What made it even funnier is that they used 2AM songs as background music for various over-dramatic scenes.
