Lee Byung Hun and Jun Ji Hyun to receive Producer’s Choice Award at ‘PiFan’

Lee Byung Hun and Jun Ji Hyun will receive the Producer's Choice accolade at this year's Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan).

According to the PiFan organizing committee on July 10, the two actors were chosen as the winners of the Producer's Choice Award. The two stars are the unanimous choices for this year because they have proven their great acting skills as well as their ticket power.

Lee Byung Hun was recognized for his work with Hollywood action films 'Red 2' and 'G.I.Joe 2' as well as 'Masquerade', while Jun Ji Hyun's work with 'Berlin' and 'The Thieves' was also acknowledged.

The two will also attend the red carpet event of the 17th PiFan opening in Puchon city at 6PM KST on July 18.

FT Island to perform on Japan’s ‘Mezamashi Live’ for 3 years in a row

FT Island has been invited to perform at Japan's music festival 'Mezamashi Live' again this year.

According to FNC Entertainment, FT Island will be on stage of 'Mezamashi Live' at Tokyo, Japan on July 28th. This live event is a music festival organized by Japan's broadcasting company Fuji TV which will be held from July 13th to September 1st.

FT Island became the first Korean artist to participate in the music festival for the third year in a row. The group has actually brought in the most audience members during its participation in 2011 and 2012.

Meanwhile, FT Island is currently on a seven-city tour in Japan to promote their third studio album 'Freedom'.

Dynamic Duo dominates online charts and music programs

Hip hop group Dynamic Duo is enjoying the limelight with the success of their comeback title track, "BAAAM".

According to their agency on July 10, Dynamic Duo's new title track "BAAAM" topped the music charts of MelOn, Mnet, Bugs Music, Soribada, Olleh Music and other major online music charts this week. It's been one week since the duo released their new album, but they managed to win in the charts against 2NE1, Brown Eyed Girls, Davichi and SISTAR.

In addition, Dynamic Duo snagged their first ever trophy on a music show on the July 10th episode of 'Show Champion'. The duo's title track "BAAAM" also won earlier on 'M! Countdown', proving themselves as one of the most powerful and influential hip hop musicians of Korea.

JYJ’s Junsu to collaborate with Diddy’s son Quincy Brown

JYJ's Junsu (XIA) will be working with Quincy Brown for solo comeback.

On July 11, C-JeS Entertainment announced that Junsu and Diddy's son Quincy Brown worked together for Junsu's new title song "Incredible". Quincy Brown sings the latter half of the song with English rap and added more perfection to the song.

A representative added, "The two met in Los Angeles for music video and they were keep talking about each one's music style. Junsu's music video will be made up of videos and music that fit the summer."

The music video for Incredible will be put together by a talented crew who also produced the favorably reviewed music video of Junsu's previous song "TARANTALLEGRA."

Meanwhile, Junsu will be releasing his second album 'Incredible' on the 15th and is planning to hold a showcase on the same day.

Jay Park’s “I Like 2 Party” rises to top of iTunes chart in 6 countries

Jay Park is making a wave not only on local music charts, but also overseas with his latest single, "I Like 2 Party".

The singer released his single I Like 2 Party on July 10, and it quickly climbed up the music chart, ranking first in six Asian countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

The song also ranked high on iTunes chart in Taiwan, United States, Canada and Australia, proving Jay Park's global popularity.

Jay Park participated in this album not only as a singer but a producer. He wrote the lyrics for all of the tracks in the album and composed 3/4 of the songs.

2PM’s Nichkhun and miss A’s Jia to star in upcoming Chinese drama

2PM's Nichkhun and miss A's Jia have been cast in the upcoming Chinese drama, 'Yi You Er Fen Zhi Yi De Xia Tian' ('One and A Half Summer').

The two idols were spotted filming at Jimei University in Xiamen, China on July 8th, both wearing casual shirt and jeans. It has been revealed that the cast and crew will film the drama from July to October across Xiamen, Fuzhou, Beijing and other parts of China, and also in Greece.

The teenage drama will revolve around the love stories of the young students in college campus. In the drama, Nichkhun will play a Chinese American who travels to China to study abroad and to find the girl that he loves.

B2ST to release second full-length album next week

B2ST is finally making its long-awaited comeback with second full-length album!

On July 11, Cube Entertainment announced that B2ST will release its second official album 'Hard to Love, How to Love' on July 19 KST. The agency also revealed that all the members participated in the production of the album.

B2ST completed the filming for the music video for two days and three nights on July 10. The music video is another production from Director Lee GiBaek who directed the popular MV for Yang Yoseob's "Caffeine".

The boys are also set to hold a big-scale concert titled '2013 BEAUTIFUL SHOW' at the Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Stadium on July 20 and 21.

On July 11, YMC Entertainment released Ailee's teaser video featuring singers, comedians and fellow idol stars including EXO, INFINITE, Dynamic Duo, K.Will and more. Each of them sent words of encouragement to support Ailee's upcoming release.

Ailee will return with second mini album 'A's Doll House' on July 12. Her title track "U&I" is a funky tune, co-written by K-Pop hitmaker Shinsadong Tiger and features Ailee's powerful vocals.

After the cancellation of SBS 'Inkigayo' due to the tragic Asiana Airlines plane crash, 2NE1 is finally making its first comeback performance on this week's episode of Mnet's 'M! Countdown'!

On July 11, 2NE1 performed their latest single "Falling in Love", the group's first release after a year-long break. The song is 2NE1's first-ever summer reggae song that perfectly reflects the group's unique music style and color.

After creating buzz with a blockbuster music video, MYNAME is back and released a dance tutorial video for their latest track, "Baby I'm Sorry".

On July 11, Loen Entertainment released the next installment of 'Let's Dance', this time featuring the boys of MYNAME. Step by step, they showed the three main points of the choreography including the 'mask', 'sorry' and 'swimming' dance.

Jang Geun Suk became an exclusive model for Italia-based outdoor clothing brand Ferrino, which launched its first store in Seoul early this July. The brand chose the singer-actor as model as his own style and active image matches well with the identity of clothing brand.

A representative from 'Ferrino' said, "Our new deal with Jang Geun Suk is expected to be a new turning point for us to shed a fixed image of outdoor clothing models."

As Jang Geun Suk became the brand's new model, it is expected that they will begin promoting through advertising and pictorials this month.

AOA’s band unit ‘AOA Black’ releases teaser image for comeback

Girl group AOA's five-member band unit named 'AOA Black' announced their return to the music scene with the release of their first image teaser.

On July 11, FNC Entertainment released a teaser of AOA Black's members Jimin, ChoA, Yuna, Yookyung, and Mina staring up with curious expressions on their faces. The photo also includes the caption, 'AOA Black 2013.07.26', announcing the date of their comeback.

In related news, AOA will hold a showcase at the Shibuya AX in Tokyo on July 23. After its showcase in Japan, AOA Black will begin their local promotions on the 26th.

2NE1 to appear on ‘Running Man’

All four members of 2NE1 will be appearing on an upcoming episode of SBS 'Running Man'.

On July 10, show officials revealed to Star News that 2NE1's members, CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom and Gong Minzy will be filming 'Running Man' around the middle of this month. This will be the first time in four years that the 2NE1 members appear on a variety show that requires much physical movement.

Yang Hyunsuk previously informed fans that 2NE1 is planning to make more TV appearances especially on music programs and variety shows. It has been revealed that 2NE1 members are nervous about their appearance on 'Running Man' and are preparing their bodies through exercising.

The 'Running Man' episode featuring 2NE1 is slated to air by the end of this month.

CCM announces change of lineup for T-ara, 5Dolls, The SEEYA and SPEED

Following the shocking departure of Areum from T-ara, Core Contents Media also revealed its future plans for T-ara, 5Dolls, The SEEYA and SPEED.

According to the agency, SPEED will be adding two new members to the group. Two new members Taemin and Sangwon will be joining the 7-member group and will return with a new concept together.

CCM is also currently planning on introducing their long term trainee Dani into T-ara N4 for their U.S. activities and the rest of their domestic activities. And for the whole group, T-ara will have to promote as a six-member group for the time being.

On the other hand, 5Dolls, who will be making a comeback late July, will also gain two new members following Shannon and Jihyun's departure. Shannon is now preparing for a solo debut, while Ji Hyun will debut with another group. Filling their spots in the group are Seung Hee, winner of the 2012 Chunhyang Contest, and Yeon Kyung of The SEEYA. Yeon Kyung will be active in both The SEEYA and 5Dolls.

"All Right" is the title song to her first solo album 'A Voice', and was produced by Yoon Jong Shin. The 'Remix-east 4A soulful mix' version of the song features a more upbeat melody, giving it a disco feel.

Big Bang's Daesung (D-Lite) has revealed a short version music video for his upcoming Japanese single "I Love You".

"I Love You" is a remake of the song by popular J-pop singer Ozaki Yutaka, which was widely known in Korea as well. The song also featured musician Taro Hakase, who added more emotions to the song with his violin performance.

Daesung's new single will be released on July 31.

YNB Entertainment will soon be debuting its new girl group called, BESTie, and they are giving fans another sneak preview at the group's upcoming debut single, "Pitapat".

On July 11, BESTie unveiled a music video teaser for "Pitapat". The video finally introduces all the members as well as features a special appearance from 2AM's Jo Kwon.

BESTie is actually consists of hree former members of EXID, Yuji (UJi), Dami (Hyeyeon) and Haeryung, along with another member Song Dahye. The group will make its debut on July 12.
