Pledis Entertainment signs joint venture with China’s YUEHUA Entertainment

Pledis Entertainment recently signed a joint venture with China's YUEHUA Entertainment as the company makes their expansion into the Chinese market.

On November 11, Pledis and YUEHUA Entertainment will have a strategic press conference for their full-scale joint venture labeled as 'YUEHUA Entertainment X Pledis', at the Beijing Banquet Hall. Son Dam Bi, After School and NU'EST will attend the event in support of Pledis as well as artists from YUEHUA Entertainment.

YUEHUA Entertainment is one of China's premiere talent agencies that houses to various artists including former Super Junior member Hangeng, Singaporean singer A Do and more.

Executive director of Pledis, Jung Hae Chang, stated, "It marks the first time for a K-pop agency to officially cooperate with Chinese music company. We have bigger expectations stemming from this collaboration since the country's music market has such a big potential."

IU and Han Chae Young are competing for beauty in the latest concept photos for upcoming KBS 2TV Wed-Thu drama 'Pretty Boy'.

On November 5, the production team of 'Pretty Boy' released still cuts of Kim Bo Tong (IU) and Hong Yoo Ra (Han Chae Young), displaying different beauty.

IU looks cute and bright as the bold and honest BBQ restaurant daughter, Kim Bo Tong. Like her name which means 'normal', IU is an ordinary girl but has a lovable charm.

On the other hand, Han Chae Young showcased a more mature beauty as Hong Yoo Ra. She has a heartless expression and cold attitude which helps Dokgo Ma Te (played by Jang Geun Suk) turn into a strong person.

Girls' Generation is receiving great interests from foreign media after becoming the only Asian singers to have won an award at 'YouTube Music Awards'.

The popular girl group won the 'Video of the Year' award for "I Got a Boy" at the inaugural 'YouTube Music Awards' held in New York on November 3. Major media outlets including CNN, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, ABC News and New York Times reported on their success after they prevailed over global music stars.

CNN posted an article, "K-pop group Girls' Generation beats Miley, Lady Gaga to first place in YouTube awards." They also reported, "The pop group is a national phenomenon in Korea. It's not the group's first foray into the United States, as the ladies appeared on the 'Late Show with David Letterman' and also 'Live! With Kelly' last year."

A representative stated, "The award means Korean artists won against world-famous celebrities and proved that Korean music and singers are able to lead the world in music. For that the foreign media showed their keen interest in the prize winning of the group."

Psy to parody Sunmi’s “24 Hours” on his concert?

Fans might be able to see another hilarious parodies of female stars on Psy's upcoming concert.

On November 6th, Psy tweeted, "Ha~ I guess it's time for me to prepare a parody of a female artist… #24hoursnotenough."

Psy has hilariously created several parodies of female singers at all of his concerts, including Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Girls' Generation and SISTAR. Fans are speculating that Psy will perform Sunmi's "24 Hours" next at his upcoming concert.

Meanwhile, Psy will hold a special four-day solo concert series from December 20 to 22 and on Christmas Eve at Seoul Olympic Park's Gymnastics Stadium.

miss A recently made an exciting pledge with their fans.

On November 5th, miss A had an interview with local media outlets in promotion of their latest album 'Hush'. When asked what would they do if they win #1 in a music show, the members answered, "We promise to perform 'Hush' in a bus or subway, or in the playground."

The choreography for "Hush" includes pole dance, and miss A members said that they will perform using poles in these areas.

miss A's title track "Hush" was composed by E-Tribe, the famous composer behind Girls' Generation's "Gee" and Lee Hyori's "U Go Girl".

SM artists to release ‘2014 Season’s Greetings’

SM Entertainment will be releasing special greeting products featuring its artists.

The agency announced that they will be releasing '2014 Season's Greetings' packages which will include calendar, scheduler, and behind-the-scenes DVD set for 2014. The calendar consists of 28 pages, while the scheduler will contain 180 pages with various photos of TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, INFINITE and more.

The '2014 Season's Greetings' goods from SM Entertainment artists will be available in December while the pre-order has been going on various websites such as Apple Music and YesAsia.

Suzy explains about dating rumor with Sung Joon

miss A's Suzy talked about her dating rumor with 'Gu Family Book' co-star Sung Joon for the first time on a recent interview with a local media outlet on November 5.

In her interview, the singer-actress shared, "The day the pictures came out was the day right before my birthday. I thought this is an unforgettable 20th birthday gift. It's the first time I've ever had a scandal."

Suzy firmly refused the dating rumor stating, "I'm good friends with Sung Joon, and we occasionally meet up. I know he had his arm around me, but I have no explanation for it."

Crayon Pop kicks off overseas promotions in Australia

Girl group Crayon Pop recently headed to Australia for overseas promotions, they have been invited as a special guest on Australian program 'Pop Asia.'

'Pop Asia' introduced Crayon Pop to local fans with girls answering questions and performing their catchy hit "Bar Bar Bar" with a local dance team, Justice Crew. The show was not only aired all around Australia, but also throughout the world on YouTube.

After the show, which marked their first overseas TV appearance, Crayon Pop will participate in interviews with several media. They also had guerilla show in front of Opera House in Sydney.

SM artists to hold week-long concert ‘SMTOWN Week’

SM Entertainment's artists will be celebrating the holidays with the fans through a week-long concert and festival.

According to the agency, SM artists will be holding a week-long event titled 'SMTOWN Week' which will be held at the Kintex Center in Seoul this December. The festival will feature concerts from TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x) and EXO, expected to attract a total of 100,000 fans.

TASTY to serve as opening act for Girls’ Generation’s Hong Kong concert

Duo group TASTY is set to take the stage as the opening act for Girls' Generation's upcoming concert in Hong Kong.

Girls' Generation will be bringing their '2013 Girls' Generation's World Tour – Girls & Peace' world tour to Hong Kong at the AsiaWorld-Expo on November 9th. TASTY is confirmed to be the opening act for concert and will perform two of their hit songs, "MAMAMA" and "Do You Know Me".

It is also reported that TASTY's visit to Hong Kong is not only for Girls' Generation's concert, but also for the filming of a music video for the duo's comeback track.

Super Junior to release 8th anniversary photobook

In celebration of their 8th anniversary, Super Junior will be releasing a special photobook.

On November 6th, SM Entertainment announced that Super Junior will release the photobook titled 'Super Junior Memory in Hawaii' as they celebrate their 8th anniversary since debut. The photobook will be available in two different versions; the "Aloha" and "Mahalo" version.

'Super Junior Memory in Hawaii' contains beautiful photos of the members during their trip in Hawaii back in July, as well as their warm messages to the lovely fans, DVD of the shoot, poster and other items.

Preorder for the photobook will start on November 6th. The "Aloha" version will be released on November 20th and "Mahalo" version on December 6th.

After much teasing, miss A finally unveiled its much awaited second studio album 'Hush' along the full music video for the title song of the same name.

Released on November 6th, the title track "Hush" was composed by E-Tribe, the famous composer behind Girls' Generation's "Gee" and Lee Hyori's "U Go Girl". This is the first time that miss A's title song was not written by Park Jin Young since its debut in 2010.

Meanwhile, miss A will have its first comeback stage through cable channel Mnet 'M Countdown' on November 7th.

T-ara releases MV for Japanese version of “Number 9”

Ahead of its official release, T-ara unveiled the music video for the Japanese version of "Number 9".

The group will release a new single 'Number 9' in Japan on November 20th. The single contains the Japanese version of "Number 9" as well as the B-side track "Memory ~ The Guidance You Gave Me" which serves as the OST for Hyomin's movie 'Jinx'.
